*Aspen's POV*

Brody just told me he likes me, a lot. No ones ever told me anything like that. I've had people tell me I'm pretty. But that's it.

"You okay?", he says and I gulp.

I wish I could tell him that ever since my dad left, it's so hard for me to trust anyone. Let alone feel anything for anyone.

"I have to go.", I say and swim to the side of the pool.

"Aspen.", he says and grabs my hand.

I look at him, his eyes hurt. I feel a lump in my throat start to form but I swallow it.

*Sage's POV*

"You wanna do something stupid?", Ryker says and I raise my eyebrows at him.

"Umm depends on what it is.", I say and he chuckles.

"There's this abandoned warehouse down the road. You wanna go?", he says and I look at him weirdly.

"You mean the one that says 'No trespassing' on it?", I say and he smirks.

"Hell yeah. Come one. You up for it? Think of it as an adventure.", he says and I smile.

"Fine. But if we get arrested, you owe me.", I say.

"Trust me, baby. You won't be getting arrested.", he says and my smile becomes wider than before.

*Ryker's POV*

I look over at Sage in the passenger's seat. I can't believe that this amazing girl is sitting right next to me.

"You nervous?", I ask and she chuckles.

"A little. But it's all for the adventure.", she says making me smile.

I park in front of the warehouse and turn off the car. She looks out her window and takes a deep breath.

"You ready?", I ask and she looks over at me.

"As ready as I'll ever be.", she says and I smile.

I get out of the car and walk over to her side and open the door.

She gets out of the car and stands next to me.

"This should be fun.", she says and I look at her.

"You know we don't have to do this?", I say and she looks at me.

She stares at me for what feels like forever. Then I feel her lace her fingers with mine.

"I've got you. What's the worst that could happen?", she says and we start walking towards the building.

*Brody's POV*

I grab a towel from the back seat and bring it over to Aspen.

God I hope I didn't mess shit up. I really like her.

"Here. I thought you might be cold.", I say and toss it to her. Probably should've handed it to her so I don't give off the mad vibe.

"Thanks."

"Aspen. Are you sure you're okay?", I ask once more.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I guess the water was just to much for me.", she says and I nod.

"If you don't mind me asking, why'd you kinda jump off of me?", I say and she looks at me with soft eyes.

"It's because I couldn't touch the bottom anymore.", she says but I know that she's lying.

"Oh. Okay. Do you want me to take you home?", I ask.

"No. We can hang out for a little longer. Look at the stars.", she says looking up at the sky.

Before I can say anything I hear someone open the gate.

"Thats when we leave.", I say and grab her hand and our clothes.

"Hey! You kids get back here!", we hear the man yell from behind us.

Aspen jumps inside the car and I throw all the clothes into the back seat and speed off before the guy can catch up to us.

I look over at Aspen who is now laughing hysterically.

"You okay?", I say while chuckling.

"You took off so fast.", she says and laugh at her.

Her laugh makes me happy. Everything about her makes me happy. I just wish she would tell me why she pushed me away in the pool.
