“Happy Birthday mate!” Dan said friendly patting Josh on the back.
“Nice place ye got bro!” James said looking around the house. Of course it had to be a pretty awesome house since he was throwing a party. Just like all the other players on the football team. It was huge as usual so you could tell that his family were pretty loaded. Though Josh is actually one of the nicer guys from the football team and we all get on well with him.
“Thanks mate, ye’s can make your way to the kitchen and get a drink!” He smiled before leaving to great more friends.
“You want a drink?” Reese asked grabbing my hand walking towards the kitchen.”
“Nah, it’s too early yet, maybe later!”
“Come on we’ll go dance then!”
We pushed past crowds of teenagers in attempt to find the living room were apparently the music was playing from. The beat of the music reverberated through the whole house so it was pretty hard to find were the source of the music was coming from.
“Hey mate could you tell us were the living room is?” Reese asked some random guy who didn’t seem to be indulged in a conversation unlike everyone else here.
“Yeah, yeah!” He said slurring on each word.
“Yeah so follow your rubber duck, go right, past the Christmas tree, and follow your saxophone till you reach your ice - cream cone then bobs your teapot!” He rambled on pointing his fingers in random directions.
“Oh my God did he just quote the randoms ad!” I burst out laughing.
“Yup, he just did!” Reese burst out laughing clutching his sides trying not to fall over.
“Drunk people are hilarious!” I laughed wiping a tear from my eye. I hope I’m just as funny as this when I’m drunk.
“Hope you get there okay!” They guy said stumbling away. How he kept so serious is non-understandable. I think that vodka really got to him.
“I guess we’ll just follow the rubber duck then!” Reese laughed pulling me in a random direction into a bigger crowd of people.
“Don’t forget to go right, past the Christmas tree!” I burst out laughing starting us off all over again.
Once we turned right I collided straight into a hard object then collapsed onto the ground.
“Watch were you’re going!” Reese muttered to the person whilst helping me up. The person just murmured a quick ‘sorry’ then walked away. That’s when I noticed the back of his head, that familiar blonde hair. Ryan!
He came to the party? Did he come alone? Why isn’t he talking to me yet? Is he still angry? I couldn’t stop replaying all these questions in my head. I should probably go talk to him but I can’t leave Reese on his own but then again I need to sort out our friendship that’s at stake right now. God Char stop with the internal debates.
