"So what are you here to talk about?" I ask finally through the awkward silence, seeing that we were not getting no were by just staring down at each other. Well, Dagan was doing staring, I was the one glowering.
"I thought you would know." He remarks briskly his hands on his lap as he watched me through his never wavering stare. It was like the man never blinks. Creepy.
"About yesterday?" I ask with ignorance, not really wanting to have to explain myself to mister high and mighty. The man might a well just curve a statue of him self and act like a Greek god or something. Oh wait, he has a statue. It was in the room that their family had dubbed the display room. It as filled with many paintings and sculptures. Like their own mini museum right in their home.
"Yes." Dagan nods and motion for me to go on. If he was expecting me to answer, he'd have to go through my stubbornness, which no one can possibly penetrate.
"Well...there's not much to say" I with a wave of my right hand, appearing quite bored with this situation. If I had my way, I'd be relaxing someplace were I wouldn't have to deal with this daily stress. Hmm...Hawaii sounds nice.
"Why did you run?" Dagan's voice suddenly filled my ears, bringing me out of my little peace of paradise and straight back to interrogation hell.
"Huh?" I uttered out intelligibly, looking back to Dagan and his determined features. I still don't think he blinked even when I was in my daydream land.
"Why. Did .You. Run?" He said it slowly in like I was mentally retarded way. That just makes my confidence just sky rocket right off the ruff.
"I felt like it, smart ass." I sneer, glaring daggers at the man as he just shrugs off the insult like it was nothing.
"At least I'm smart enough not to run out in the middle of a thunder storm and pass out under a bridge." He retorted back, his own blue eyes narrowing. A slight frown graces his lips as he lazily leans back into the chair.
"You shouldn't have bothered to." I snap back, now finding my gaze landing right on a near by lamp. I stared at as if my gaze could make it explode with the sheer force of it. After a while I gave up and looked over to Dagan, a small slimmer of hope that my failure on the lamp would be easily fixed if he would go up in flames.
"Bother with what?" He urges for me to continue, like a shrink would with his crazy patient. It made me wondered where I stood on the sanity board.
"Trying to find me." I mumble as quietly as I can, turning my back towards him as I dared not look as his face. Despite what had happen, he had looked for me. Something..that someone I wished had done for me back than.
"I'm sorry I ruined your death wish." Dagan mutters under his breath. Clearly not getting what I had meant behind my words.
"I wasn't trying to kill myself." I say, trying raising my voice this time, at lest attempting to make some progress with this annoying dispute.
"Really? It seemed like that from my view." He remarks derisively as I leisurely face him with a cold stare, not bothering to put much emotion into my words as I spoke.
"Then get your eye sight fixed jack." From were I was standing I could only see Dagan sigh at this. His black locks somewhat untamed from him constantly running his hand through it. The next thing he said completely took me off guard.
"Please, don't make me regret helping you." He murmurs lowly, as though hopping I would over hear them.
"Regret? Is this about your stupid reputation again? God, you egotists jerk!" I said while throwing my hands up in the air in a sign of aggravation. Him and that reputation could just go play with a wall of fire and burn.
