"Hey.. Um... St-Steven, can I h-have a picture with you?" I asked, mentally slapping myself over and over for stuttering. He turned around, surprised to see me. "Uh sure," he replied, scratching the back of his head.
His friends were all staring at me from behind him which made me really wanna kill myself. Someone save me from this embarrassment please. We made a really awkward eye contact before he hesitated a little and placed his arm around my shoulder, leaving a tingling sensation where he touched me. I placed my hands on his waist where I could literally feel his toned body, and my face immediately heated up.
Teresa was already ready with my iPhone in her hands probably constantly spamming the poor white button. She fakes a "One, two, three" slowly before taking the picture, allowing his arms stay on my shoulders just a little longer than usual. I love you so much Teresa. Thank you so much. My heart's been beating so fast it feels like it could pop out of my chest any moment.
I gave him an awkward nod and thank you before walking- I mean running towards my phone. Damn! I could never get enough of that blond hair and blue eyes. I thought to myself, the palpitation of my heart still not slowing down any moment.
"Darling," a low but familiar voice whispered beside my ear, making me jump back, nearly tripping over nothing. But his strong hand supported my back as he steadied me. It took me a second to realize who it was.
"Tanner!" I exclaimed as I wrapped my arms around his neck while he pulled me into a hug, lifting me up a few inches from the ground before letting me go.
It has been so long since I last saw him which was three months ago since we've both been busy but it felt like forever.
"I missed you too," Tanner laughed, surprised by my 'enthusiastic' response.
"Look!" I said as I showed him the picture of Steven and I.
"No wonder," he mumbled, rolling his eyes and continued greeting Teresa and the rest. Tsk evil Tann.
As he hugged Tori, I could see her blush a little. When she looked at me, I wiggled my eyebrows at her while she replied by cursing at me under her breath. She's so cute when she's shy.
Tori had a big crush on Tanner ever since she first met him back in freshmen year when he came over to my house while we were having a movie night. Tanner was no stranger to the girls. I often brought them with me when I met him mainly because of Tori but also because I know him and the others didn't mind at all.
As we walked from stall to stall, many girls were whispering and looking in our way. I mean at Tanner obviously. Honestly, if I was able to get that much attention, I would just wear my sunglasses and walk down the aisles of the school thinking it was a fashion runway while doing the slow-mo hair flip and waving to everyone like a queen. But Tanner was different. He never really liked attention and definitely wasn't the flirty kind of guy who would give free winks to girls or whatever. That's why I liked him.
"Hey I wanna try that!" Nayla exclaimed, pointing to a game stall where everyone was trying to knock down the stack of metallic cups. "Let's go then," I replied, walking together with the rest to that stall.

"Ugh I can't aim properly!" Nayla shouted in frustration as she failed her second try once again.
