"You're going out with STEVEN?" Tanner shouted his name in disbelieve."Shh! People might hear you!" I covered his mouth as we walked past a classroom. "And it's not 'going' out but hanging out."
"Kath, you know I don't trust him. I coming with you." He replied with a frown while removing my hand from his mouth.
"Tanner, don't start." I sighed as we continued walking around the school.
He already knew where all the different places are in school but we were just aimlessly walking around to kill time. Until he asked to hang out in my house after school and this happened. Great. Now that he knows, he'll never leave me alone.
He's been strongly against the idea of me talking to Steven. But honestly there was nothing wrong with Steven. I bet he's just jealous his best friend just got her crush to notice her and I've been teasing him about it.
He says his crush notices him too. Lies. Firstly, I'm sure he doesn't even have a photo with or of her because he doesn't want to show it to me even though he claims that he has. Secondly, it's also my first time hearing that he has a crush. Lastly, he hardly has much girl friends.
"No. I'm going. I'm bored, you're going out with him, I got no one to hang out with, so I'm coming." He argues.
"Go hang out with Tori and the others. You're definitely not coming with us."
"Fine, I'll hang out with them alright." His words surprised me. I didn't think he would back out this easily. No wait. He's up to something. I could see him trying hard to hide his smirk but I don't question him. As long as he leaves me alone I'm fine.
---------------------
The bell ringed, signifying the end of school and my heart almost instantly started beating faster. I'm going to meet Steven.
Tanner has already gone to find Tori and the others. He left after sulking the whole time after our conversation. He's all muscular and strong on the outside, but inside, he was just like a kid that gets angry when they don't get what they want. But I got used to it. Don't worry.
I can't stop thinking about what he meant when he said he would hang out with the girls, but I didn't want to know either.
My train of thoughts was being cut off when I see Steven waiting outside the school gate for me. Even with so many students there, it was easy to spot him. Damn. His blonde hair really stands out even from this crowd.
When he spotted me, he broke into a smile. Then and there, I melted. He looks cuter than ever. Even though he wore the same clothes as before and I already saw him just now, but- Okay stop, deep breaths.
"Hey," I greeted him while walking towards him.
"Hey," he replied as he pulled me into a hug. Huh. Whaa? The smell of his cologne filled my nostrils, citrusy and spicy.
Before I lose the strength in my legs, he releases me from his embrace, and continued to guide me to his car. We decided to get some pizza at a pizza place he recommends.
I thought it would actually be really awkward when I went out with him but surprisingly, it wasn't. Mainly because he seemed to have tons of cheesy pick up lines to share.
"One time this girl at a party asked me," He said as he swallowed his pizza. "Are you a parking ticket?"
"No....?"
