New York City, New York
Kastynn
I smoothed down the edges of my son's dark brown hair, feeling his creamy light skin that decorated his pigment. He was the perfect mixture of me and Ti'Ron, and I knew in that moment what things would be from here on out.
I'm a mother now, and my duty is to protect my son at all costs, whatever the case may be. Unless something such as him going to jail happens.
Kissing his temple, I felt a kiss on my forehead and as I looked up, Ti'Ron was bending down and planting a kiss on our son's forehead.
"What should we name him, babe?" Ti'Ron's asks me, his voice gentle and soft as a whisper.
I look into his ashy brown eyes, the gleam of tears staining them as if he wanted to cry.
I looked back down into my son's face, thinking of a wonderful name to give him. A name of pride, joy, something he deserves and would love to be rightfully called. A name that not even a million could ever compare to...
"You carried him for nine months, not me. I think you deserve to give him something that starts with K." Ti'Ron suggests.
I look at my parents, his dad and Amelia, then back at him.
"What do you guys think?" I ask each of them.
"Definitely not Kendrick. Too overused." Tyrone speaks up. "And not Tyrone, there's already two of us." He says chuckling.
Ti'Ron chuckles and nods in agreement. "Maybe...Kaiden?"
"Kayden." My mom speaks up.
"Don't say Kevin, but I do like Koby." Amelia adds in.
"Kiki did give me a rare unusual name...Kamal. It means perfect, and completion of just anything." I tell them, planting a kiss on my son's head.
The name was rather unusual and vaguely heard of. But the meaning is what stood out the most and attracted me in every way...completion and perfection. He's perfect, and he completes both me and Ti'Ron's lives.
They all smile and nod their heads, engaging in conversation.
The nurse walks back into the room and asks us; "So have you two decided on a name yet?"
Me and Ti'Ron exchange looks then nod together.
"We've decided on Kamal Khalil Taylor." I tell the nurse while keeping my eyes locked on my son's. Waving my finger in his face, he grabs ahold of it and everyone awe in the room.
"Perfect, I'll be right back with the birth certificate so you and dad here can both sign your names." The nurse says cheerfully, then walks out on her heels.
Ti'Ron kisses me again, this time his lips are enclosed with mine. A spark flies, and my heart melts as his tongue enters deeply before he pulls back by biting my bottom lip.
Never in a million years had I thought we'd be here, especially having a baby and planning a wedding. Somehow I know that our son, Kamal Taylor, is the perfect fit for our lives to be complete.
