Kastynn's small, soft hands shook in trembling fear as she stared down at the thick pen-like device in her hands with a ball point tip to the end.
She stared over the words at all three devices: the one in her hand, and two on the counter.
Her heart pounded repeatedly against the rib cage of her chest, her breathing became heavier by the millisecond as fish swam around freely inside of her head.
"Positive...positive..." She sighed, letting the long pause conceal her thoughts at the last read. "Negative..."
"This can't be right...can it? How can I be pregnant?" She asked aloud to no other in particular.
No one but her seemed to be in the house at the moment as her thoughts were concealed onto the three pregnancy test sticks she had just released her urine on for confirmation over the changes her body have gone through within the last two weeks.
Her and Ti'Ron had been having nonstop unprotected sex for the past six months, and even though it wasn't right because they were not even together as a couple, and he was busy being every other female's stress relief, she felt that it was the only right thing to do since she needed comfort over the past two years of her life.
She should have known things would come to this if they kept up their little game of "Hide and Find Me". But, Kastynn had become a distraught individual lost in the world between lust and love, trying to advocate which she would use. And furthermore, she chose lust as an option to get over her ex.
Kristopher and her grandmother, the last two people she had wanted to disappoint was them, and she believes she has, but there was nothing else she could do. She felt as if Kris was already long gone. And there was no way she would have been able to face her grandma if she was still alive.
Marsha had wanted the best for her granddaughter, and that meant not making careless mistakes that would lead her down a dark path instead of a light one. Kastynn's head may be screwed on tight, but there's only one bolt missing that needs to be added right away.
Shaking her head back to reality, she quickly arose from her spot on the toilet and proceeded to throw the three pregnancy tests in the plastic garbage bag after taking pictures of them.
She made sure the words were in plain sight so she could show Ti'Ron just in case he would accuse her of lying.
For surely Kastynn was a large bit of embarrassed now. For what she thought everyone would think of her made her stomach weaken and plummet to the ground.
None of her family wants her and Ti'Ron to be together, regardless of the things he does for her. He had become a bad influence on her life and has taken her down the wrong path of lies and destruction.
Kastynn finds it to be a bit strange and abnormal that she had not thrown up anything she's eaten, nor cringed at any particular smell of food, or even picked up a large appetite, but she still felt very odd and chose to take the pregnancy tests just in case. Now she has her final answer.
She's has realized, however, that not all women experience the same exact things while their body is preparing to carry another life. Which would explain reasons as to why she's missed her period.
