Chapter 29 ( Pre Dinner Part Five : Allison and Cavan )

Allison's POV

Matapos silang maggrocery ng kasintahan ay agad silang dumiretso sa condo unit niya. She didn't even bother to change clothes because time is not on their side. Dinner's going to start at 9pm and it is currently 7:30 in the evening, agad siyang dumiretso sa kusina and took out the pots and pans that she's going to use.

"Babe?!"

nagtaka siya kung bakit natatagalan ito sa pagkarga nang mga pinamili nila sa kusina.

"Babeeeeeee!!!"

wala pa ring sumasagot despite sa paghiyaw niya.

She wanted to see what he's up to so she made her way out of the kitchen at hinanap ito.

He is nowhere in sight sa loob nang unit niya, ibig sabihin ay nasa labas pa din ito kaya naman tinungo niya ito.

"Well I'm glad to have seen you again Trish"

boses iyon ni Cavan at mukhang may kausap ito sa hallway, she was curious with whom he's speaking with kaya she peaked outside through the door's peep hole. Kitang kita niya ang lapad nang ngiti nito habang kausap ang isang chinitang babae na siyang nagpataas nang kilay niya.

"I'll see you around Cav"

anang babaeng nagngangalang "Trish", humalik pa ito sa pisngi ni Cavan bago ito umalis.

Nang makita niyang papasok si Cavan sa loob ay dali dali niyang tinungo ang kusina, inabala niya ang sarili sa pantry at nagkunwaring may hinahanap.

"What are you looking for"

she saw him place the plastic bags on top of the kitchen counter.

"What took you so long?"

"Saw an old friend outside, we just talked a little"

casual ang pagkakasabi nito habang siya naman ay di maipinta ang mukha.

"Whatever"

"Is something wrong?"

something? more like someone!!! old friend daw, baka dati mong ka FUBU!!! but she chose not to blurt it out.

"Wala"

Hindi niya ito iniimik and chose to focus her attention with making the fresh tomato sauce for her spaghetti bologne's na siyang recipe nang mama niya .

He would attempt making conversations with her but she's not in the mood to deal with him right now.

"It looks good"

he said referring to the sauce.

hinarap niya ito and couldn't contain the anger boiling within her.

"Will you just shut up? kausapin mo na lang si Trish halatang willing kang kausapin nang isang yun!"

"So this is what your cold treatment is all about? Fuck you Allie!"

"Well you already did... remember?!"

She took the pan containing the bolognese sauce out of the stove and set it aside.

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No one is stopping you from doing so"

She took her anger out on pounding the ripe bananas na kakailanganin niya to make the banana bread, nakita niya ang pag alis ni Cavan through her peripheral vision but she opted not to stop him.

It was almost thirty minutes before dinner nang matapos siya sa pagluluto, nakahinga siya nang maluwag sa pag aakalang hindi siya matatapos on time.

She still have a few minutes to spare to freshen up, as she make her way to her room ay napako ang tingin niya sa lalaking nakatulog sa kanyang sofa.

"Wake up"

niyugyog niya ito nang bahagya.

"Are you still angry with me?"

nakapikit nitong tanong.

"Not anymore. I'm sorry for coming at you like that kanina that was uncalled for"

"You're just afraid that I'd leave you for another woman"

hinampas niya ito sa balikat na siyang nagpamulat rito.

"You're not the only man in the world. I think I can manage"

naningkit ang mata nito sa sinabi niya.

"Don't you even dare for a second leave me for another man or I swear babalatan ko siya nang buhay sa harapan mo mismo"

he's such a brute when it comes to her and other men aside from him.

"Yeah yeah... "

he still has his serious face on.

"I'm warning you Allie"

Itinaas niya ang kaliwang kamay niya sa harapan nito.

"See this? I'm yours"

When he proposed to her the other day it was too surreal. They never talked about marriage not even once in their entire relationship but then it made her heart swell knowing that he could imagine his future with her in it as his wife... as Mrs. Borromeo.
