Clara's POV

It was 10 o'clock at night and the football game had just ended. I was completely exhausted from such a long day of classes then the pep rally and then the football game. My feet were aching from all the standing. I finished picking up my pompoms and headed over to where my friends were socializing. The new recruits seemed to be fitting in well with our group. Xavier was with them as well. Stacey was going off about some party she was hosting tomorrow night. I started waiting around for James to show up, so that we could leave. Instead I was greeted by Nick who had a very anxious look on his face.

"We gotta go," he said, grabbing hold of my arm leading me out of the stadium.

"Let go Nick," I said trying to remove his tight grip.

"Clara is something wrong?" as if he was my knight in shining armor Xavier appeared.

"No nothing's wrong," I said as Nick immediately loosen his grip on me.

"Who are you?" asked Nick studying the werewolf.

"I think I should be asking you that," Xavier said crossing his arms together. Xavier was a very big buy, almost twice Nick's size.

"Everything's fine," I said as more of Xavier friends joined him. I could tell a fight would be occurring in the parking lot if I didn't interfere.

"Doesn't seem that way," Xavier didn't even bother looking at me. He just continued to glare at Nick.

"Come on," Nick said interloping his hand with mine.

We continue our walk to the jeep as I felt Xavier's eyes still on us.

"What is going on?" I asked Nick as we got into the jeep.

"There's trouble," he said backing out of the parking lot and speeding out of it. I could still see Xavier's eyes on me as we drove past him.

"That friend of yours is a werewolf," Nick said driving onto the highway, "Who brought rogues with him."

"He's not my friend," I first stated before continuing, "What rogues?"

"As soon as these werewolves arrives so do these rogues, coincidence? I think not." Nick said, "Fuck, I didn't plan on moving so fast!" I could tell Nick was slightly panicking. Rogues were rejected members of packs. They are kicked out for either breaking the packs rules, like murdering a fellow wolf or betraying their pack.

"Where is James?" I asked. He was just playing on the football field.

"He already is home. I wanted to make sure everything was clear." Nick said while making a tight turn way too fast.

"What do we do now?" I asked, Nick always has a plan.

"We go home and wait it out." He said simply.

"That's all we do?" I asked, for someone who was panicking to get out of the stadium so bad his plan was quite simple.

"Yes the rogues aren't here for us, they are here for those werewolves," he said, "All we have to do is avoid those wolfs and either the rogues or werewolves will take care of each other."

"Okay," I said agreeing to his plan. We could easily kill the rogues and be safe. But that would cause great suspicion especially with a pack of wolves so close to us. Our best plan was to stay low until the rogues either get what they came for or die at the hands of the pack wolves.

We pulled into the driveway of our house. We lived on a quiet street with woods covering our house. It was a simple old style home, but it worked just fine for us.

Nick grabbed my bags before heading inside and I followed right behind him.

James had closed every blind and window it seemed in the house. He was seated at the table drinking in some blood. My mouth was salivating at the thought of it. It had been all day since I got a taste of it.

"There is a lot to discuss," James said handing me the rest of his cup.

Nick and I sat across from him. These wolves have come to be a great inconvenience to us.

"Do we know anything about these wolves?" asked Nick.

"The last time I dealt with them was over 50 years ago," I said remembering the terrible event involving rogues. Rogues had been running wild in the city and attacking random humans. It left the city scared and investigators puzzled. One day I was attacked and let's just say it was the last the city ever heard of them.

"With rogues there is no system, they do whatever they want," James said, "But with pack wolves there are rules."

"We don't need to worry about the pack wolves, just the rogues," I said taking a sip of bloody drink.

Nick nodded in agreement, "If we are going to be staying here long though it best if we get more information on those pack wolves. We don't even know their pack names or who the leader is."

"Guess we will just have to find out," I said finishing up the last of my drink and getting up.

Nick nodded in agreement before getting up himself and heading over to the couch to watch TV, "Great talk."

"Hey Clara," James said stopping me from going upstairs, "What's up with that Xavier guy?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"He couldn't keep his eyes off of you all during lunch and then at the game," James said. I knew what he was talking about but I had no clue what was up with him. Maybe he liked me or maybe he knew what I was.

"I don't know," I said, before heading upstairs and to my room. I spent the rest of the night relaxing or trying to. I found my mind drifting off while watching TV to Xavier. It confused me just how entranced I was about this boy. I was very curious about him and his pack, but mostly just him. The more I thought about him the more I was starting to miss him.

I did not like where my head was going and spent all night tossing and turning trying to get him out of my dreams.
