Xavier's POV

The game had just ended and everyone was starting to pack up and leave. I noticed some of my fellow pack members socializing with some of the cheerleaders and jocks. I search the group but did not find my mate. I headed over there anyways. I couldn't find her boyfriend James in the group either. Just thinking of him or even mentioning his name angered me and my wolf. Stacey was going off about a party she was going to be hosting tomorrow night in celebration of the big win. My mate soon joined us and I tried my hardest not to get too close to her because that may creep her out. I had spent the last three hours watching her from the crowd as she cheered.

One second my mate was there then next thing I know she was being forced out of the stadium by a man with a mean grip around her arm. I followed closely behind them with my beta Michael next to me.

"Let go Nick," I heard her say while trying to remove his hands off of her arm. I was instantly angry to see him have his hands on her as well as hurting her.

I couldn't help my protectiveness for her. She was my mate after all.

"Clara is something wrong?" I asked, glaring at the man who held my mate.

"No nothing is wrong," she said as the man instantly loosened his grip on her arm.

"Who are you?" asked the man who Clara called Nick earlier.

"I think I should be asking you that," I said crossing my arms together. This man was puny compared to me. One punch would be a complete knock out for him.

"Everything's fine," Clara said as she noticed more of my pack members joining the commotion.

"Doesn't seem that way," I said, my wolf wanted to shred this man into pieces.

"Come on," Nick said interloping his hand with my mate.

I was instantly being pushed back by my pack members as I tried to leap for the man. My teeth snarling. They didn't even notice me as they started jogging to their car.

"Calm down, Alpha," I heard Michael say, "People are starring." I looked behind me to see my fellow pack members as well as a group of humans looking at me.

"I'm fine," I said pulling their hands off of me, "Let's get out of here."

I walked away from the stadium to my motor cycle quickly fleeing the parking lot.

I was halfway home when a suspicious scent crossed my nose. It was a very distinctive smell. It took me less than a second to remember it was one of the rogues who had attacked me back in Iowa.

Rogue, I mind linked my pack members.

On it, said Michael and Ed at the same time. Usually I would let them handle it, but today I needed to let out some of my frustrations. The disgusting mutt came at a great time. I left my motor cycle on the side of the road and followed the scent. I didn't bother to take off my clothes, I just let them shred as I changed into my wolf.

Rogues are a disgrace to all werewolves and their presence is never to be taken lightly. I have not ever come across a rogue that isn't evil or completely insane.

I followed the scent until I entered a clear path, I was a couple miles outside of the town. I was closing in on the rogue.

Got him, I messaged Michael and Ed. I could see the rogue standing in the clear passage in his human form. He had his hands up as if he was surrendering. I snarled at him in my wolf form, baring all teeth. The number one rule that all werewolves are taught was to never trust a rogue or turn their backs to one.

"Whoa, hello Alpha," I heard him say. I snapped my jaw at him, showing him how fast I could kill him with it.

"I have a message for you," he said, showing the note in his hand. I was joined by Michael and Ed behind me. I changed into my human form so I could communicate with him.

"And who is this message from?" I asked, not liking the game he was playing at all. The rogue held his hand out with the note and I cautiously walked forward to retrieve it.

My pack members growled to warn him not to try anything. I took the note from him.

You can run, but you can't hide.

"What the fuck is this?!" I asked about ready to hurt this rogue. He enters my new territory and threatens my pack. I was not going to allow this. I do not like to play games. Michael growled harshly as he saw the note.

"It is a message from the boss man," the rogue said with a wicked smile on his face.

"I'll give your boss man a message as well," I said before turning my attention to Ed, "Kill him."
