Xavier had kept to his promise and gave me space.Although there was still the glares his pack members gave to James, and Michael's constant watching. Michael was always around James. James thought it was hilarious. James liked to pretend Michael was his new best friend.

"Hey Luna," Michael suddenly sat next to me at lunch. He purposefully took James' seat. Michael held two trays in his hands. He put one in front of me, "You look hungry."

"I'm not," I said slightly annoyed with him, "I had a big breakfast." I get that Michael was trying to be nice, but I never asked him to be.

"Xavier is coming back in town tomorrow," Michael said.

"I didn't even know he was gone," I said, trying not to be interested. It was weird how I missed him. I barely knew him. It had been over a week since our last encounter. I hated myself for how much my mind lingers to him all the time.

"Yeah, he had to take care of some business," Michael said as he digged into his cafeteria food. I starred at him in disgust of his bad table manners.

"Buddy!" James greeted his new found best friend, Michael. James somehow manged to squeeze his way onto the bench next to him.

"Dude," I said in response to James forcing me practically off the bench.

Michael simply rolled his eyes.

"So tonight, we are all going bowling," James said filling Michael in on the details of tonight's plans.

"Sounds good," Michael said.

~~

It was Friday night and practically the whole school had decided to go bowling. The football team had to make it a competition. I was having a blast with all my friends even with Michael watching my every movement. He was probably reporting everything to Xavier.

Stacey had somehow brought drinks into the bowling ally. So maybe I was happy because I was a bit tipsy. James was also a bit drunk, but we were both fun drunks. We were also pretty reckless.

"Michael," I said making my over to him. James was conveniently sitting next to him. I found that wherever James went Michael would try to follow.

"You should be having fun," I said while sitting down on James lap. I tried handing him my drink but he just shooed it away.

"You shouldn't be sitting on his lap," Michael said disapprovingly.

"And why not?" I said taking a big sip of the drink, "Will my mate get angry? You know I could kiss any guy here."

"Yeah," James said having to chime into my conversation.

I stood up from his lap, "I can kiss any guy who walks through that door." My friends starting hooting and hollering.

"Do it!" some of the boys shouted and I turned to see an old man coming in.

"Don't back down now," I heard Michael say. Perhaps I was a lot more drunk than I thought I was. I turned my head around and crashed lips with the next person who walked through the door. I instantly recognized who lips they were when I felt the tingling feeling reach my stomach.

But I was feeling drunk and stupid so I deepened the kiss between Xavier and I. It didn't help that my friends were cheering me on.

I broke the kiss and turned back to Michael, "Happy now?"

Michael had a smirk on his face as if he knew I was going to be kissing Xavier. I walked out of the bowling ally with Xavier following quickly behind me.

"Why are you here?" I said feeling frustration and anger rush to the surface. He totally ruined my mood and night.

"I missed you," Xavier said as he followed me in the parking lot. I noticed Michael, James, and Stacey were standing at the entrance door. They starred at us as if we were a tv show. I found myself flipping them off.

"Miss me?" I turned around and came face to face with him, "I said to leave me alone."

"That's not happening," He said crossing his arms. His voice became suddenly deeper and more authoritative, "You are my mate. I will never leave you alone."

I scoffed at him. What the hell did I get myself into?

"I will reject you," I said confidently.

This took Xavier back a little bit. His arms uncrossed and his faced seemed panic. He quickly regained his composure.

"You don't know how," he said calling out my bluff, "You can't simply say it's over. It doesn't work like that."

"I, Clara, reje-"  couldn't finish my sentence as Xavier's hands covered my mouth. His body pushed me into the nearest car. Cracking of glass was heard from behind my head. The car window had shatter. I felt blood hit my shoulder. It wasn't my blood. It was Xavier's.

"Don't you fucking dare!" his eyes had turned completely black. But I couldn't concentrate on him. The smell of his blood was too tempting. It took all of my energy not to rip his neck off and drink his blood.

"Get off of me," I said while gritting my teeth. My fangs were extending. Xavier refused to move. He held me in place as I struggled against his grip.

"I will mark you by force," his eyes flickered from black to green. He was gaining control and loosing control of himself.

It was so tempting to just loose control. But I closed my eyes and concentrated.

"I, Clara,-" I suddenly felt excruciating pain in my neck. Xavier's teeth had sunken into my neck. His hand muffled my screams.

Xavier let go of me. My body sunk down to the ground.

"Clara," Xavier's force was soft and sympathetic. His face held remorse. I was still in shock at what just happened. He marked me. He took away my freedom.
