Clara's POV

What the hell was I doing lying in the enemy's bed? If Nick knew about this he would freak out. In my defense though he did tell me to find out more information on these wolves. That wasn't my true intentions at first, but somehow that seems to be what I was doing. I came to Xavier's house on the presumption that this was going to be a one time thing, but somehow it ends up not being so. I was quite disappointed especially since it had been over three years since I last got some action.

"So," his fingers made circles on my thigh which left little tingles throughout my body, "Where are you from?"

"I'm from the south," I said not wanting to give away too much information about myself.

"Why did you move up here?" he asked. I had been asked this a lot when I first moved to this small town.

"My parents are doctors who work in the middle east. They wanted us to be safe so we moved to this small town," I said remembering the lie.

"What do you mean 'us'?" he asked. His eyes were squinting suspiciously.

"James and Nick live with me," I said and I could see the anger in his eyes and jealousy written all over his face.

"Why?!" he said with gritted teeth. It was obvious he was trying to control his anger.

"Our families are friends," I said I couldn't quite understand why he was angry. It wasn't his business.

"So how old are you?" I asked changing the subject off of me.

"25," he said, his eyes were lightening up.

"25?! Oh wow, you're lucky I'm 18 then," I said with a smirk. If I was younger than 18 our relationship would be illegal, "Why did you come to this town?"

His face seemed to stiffen. He seemed to be arguing with himself. It was probably about telling me his true identity.

"Clara," I could hear the seriousness in his voice, his hand stroked my cheek, "There is something I have to tell you. I know you won't believe me, but I can't keep it a secret from you."

"What's wrong?" I asked getting up and sitting crossed leg next to him.

"Nothing is wrong, it's just that I don't want their to be any secrets between us," he said laying on his back. I barely know this guy, but for some strange reason he was willing to spill his deepest secrets to me.

"I'm a wolf," he said suddenly. His eyes trained on me waiting for a reaction.

"A wolf?" my reaction was to stare at him strangely as if I wasn't sure if he was joking or not.

"Yes, I can transform into a wolf. I'm a werewolf," he said and I continued my acting.

"Are you okay?" I asked pressing my hand against his forehead.

He suddenly grabbed a hold of it. I felt the warmness and comfort seep through my body, "Don't you feel it Clara? We have a bond."

"A bond?" now I was no longer acting.

"Yes we are mates. Werewolves have mates who they are bonded with forever," he said not letting go of my hand, "Don't you feel it?"

"Xavier, please, I think you must have hit your head or something," I said trying to pull my hand out of his grip but he wouldn't budge.

"Clara, let me prove it to you," he said suddenly getting up off the bed and taking off his pants.

"Wait Xavie-" I began to say before I found myself screaming at the view in front of me. It was more so out of surprise than fear. His boxer briefs were torn into shred. He had transformed into a wolf right in front of me. His wolf was beautiful. A dark black color with bright blue eyes that studied my every move. Now was when I would have to do my best acting. I have to act scared and petrified at the view in front of me. In a way however I did feel scared at how much weaker I must be compared to him. He could easily over power someone as small as me even if I was a vampire. It also freaked me out that he was talking about a bond between us.
