'Daddy'

Chapter Thirteen

Jades Pov.

Seth sits down by me after he showers and kisses my cheek. I smile a little trying to push all of the terrible things going on to the back of my mind so I can just enjoy my time with Seth while I can. He looks at me.
"How are you doing, beautiful?" He asks me putting his arm around me. I blush and lay my head on him. He's shirtless.
"I'm.. Okay I think" I say with a sigh."how are you?"
"I'm good cause I got you here" he says. I smile and blush.
"That's good" I reply. He nods and kisses the top of my head. I smile softly and cuddle up to him.
After a couple of hours someone knock on the door.
"Come in" Seth says. His dad comes in.
"Hey...um......the court ordered that Jade gets a DNA test...."
"Why?" I ask confused sitting up straight.
"They don't think.....that the people she lived with are her family."
"Only daddy is my family! No one else is!" I start to raise my voice then sigh and bite my tongue feeling bad for being rude.
".....they dont think he is..."
".. Why not..?"
"Because they think they know who your real parents are. Their daughter got kidnap years ago"
"But daddy is my real dad.."
"Can you please just do this for them...." Seth's dad asks. I look at Seth then sigh.
"Okay..." I mumble. 
"Thank you" I just shrug.
We pull into the parking lot of the medical center. It's the one nearest to the police station. Seth's dad drove us. I sigh and go inside with Seth and his father. Seth grabs my hand rubbing it while his dad gets us signed in and stuff. They take me back almost immediately. I am really really scared. They ask me so many questions. They said they can't find me anywhere in the system. And that's understandable considering I've never been to the doctor. They said they couldn't even find me a birth certificate.. That's weird. A nurse comes in with a bunch of tubes and needles. Is that all the blood she's gonna take from me?? Oh gosh. I need this blood. We have an emotional connection.
"You good baby?" Seth asks.
"I've never gotten blood taken.." I mumble. 
"Just relax and if it hurts squeeze my hand. Don't tense the arm they are taking blood from though okay?"
"Okay.." I mumble. The nurse is pretty quiet as she takes the blood. Seth pets my hair. I grab his hand and squeeze it very tightly. He kisses my forehead.
"Your okay" he whispers petting my hair. I sigh and bite my lip. He rubs my back.
She takes a ton of vials of blood. I feel like they are doing more then a DNA test. She finishes and puts a cotton ball and bandaid on me. I look at Seth and frown. He pecks my lips.
"You good?" He asks. I nod and lay my head on him. After a few minutes they come back in and they said they have to do a check up, because I've never had one.
"Do you know what that is?" Seth asks me. I shake my head.
"I've never even heard of that.."
"Well its not painful. They will just check your eyes and ears and heart and stuff. Make sure you are good"
"Okay.." I mumble. The doctors come in and start doing the check up stuff. It's super weird. I they look in my mouth and shine a really bright light in my eyes. The always stuck this thing and look through my ears. It's just weird. Seth tries to make sure I am not to freaked out. They do a lot, they said they tested for sicknesses that could be in my lady bits and they got a bunch of blood and gave me a ton of shots.. Once it was all set and done I am physically and emotionally exhausted, I had to explain a lot of my bruises and cuts to a lot of different people... The doctor leaves to look at everything. I grab Seth's hand and pull him close to me. He looks at me.
"You okay baby?" I nod biting my bottom lip.
"What will happen if he not my daddy..?" I ask looking up at him.
"They will find your biological one....."
"But what I they don't like me.. Or what will happen to me..?"
"You can stay with me and my parents I promise it'll be okay baby" I sigh and nod.
After what seems like forever the doctor comes in. I look at her with wide eyes. I'm so scared as to what she's going to say.
"You don't have any diseases so that's good.....and your dad isn't your real dad.....but we found your real parents... We think.. They are on a flight up here to get a DNA test right now actually.." She says looking from me to Seth. I'm honestly completely shocked. I can't even move. I never ever would have guess that da- no that that man would lie to me like this.. I.. I just don't get it. Seth looks at me worried. He rubs my back.
"I'm sorry....." He mumbles.
"W-why would he lie to me.." I mumble tears filling my eyes," I.. I stuck up for him.. I screamed at you because of him.. I disrespected you and your father because of him.." I say I start hitting my head with my hands and repeatedly saying," Stupid stupid stupid" Seth grabs both my hands and holds them close to him.
"Shhhhhh baby shhhh you're okay...its okay...." I try to form words but I can't and I just break down. I start sobbing, I don't think I have ever cried this hard in my life. I'm so confused. Seth picks me up then sits down with me in his lap. He tries so hard to calm me down. Nothing really works.. Seth's dad walks into the room. He looks at me and frowns.
"I'm so sorry Hun" he says. As he sits down beside me and Seth. He puts his hand on Seth's shoulder and I just stare at the ceiling curled up in a ball. I've run out of tears to cry at this point and I just feel numb. Seth rubs my back.
We all sat like that for a few hours. The doctors said they were gonna stay after closing so we can get this out of the way because it's an emergency. I just want to know who my real family is... I've been lied to my entire life and.. I am so confused.
"How you feeling baby?"
"I.. I don't know.." I mumble looking down at my hands.
"I'm sorry. I'm sure they will find your parents"
"Why would they leave me in the first place..?" I ask in a mumble.
"You can ask them that and any other questions you have when they get here..." Seth says reassuringly. I nod biting my lip. After a few more minutes the doctor comes in.
"They just got here.. Are you ready to get another DNA test and meet them..?" She asks me. I look at Seth.
"You can do it baby i believe in you" I nod and look up at the doctor.
"Sure.." I say to her then look down. I'm really scared.. What if they don't like me.. Or think I'm ugly. Seth kisses my forehead then the nurse let's my possible parents in. They gasp when they see me. They actually do look a lot like me. I curl up some more in Seth's lap as I look up at them.
"Maddie is it you?" They ask. 
"M-my names Jade.." I mumble looking up at them. They give each other a sad look. I look down.
"Let's do this DNA test thing.." I mumble looking at the nurses. The nurse takes some of my blood and some of theirs. I sit back in Seth's lap as we wait for the results.
"So what grade are you in?"
"I'm a sophomore" I reply looking down," Um.. What do y'all do for a living?" I ask
"I'm a doctor and she is a lawyer" the guy says.
"That's cool.." I say looking down and playing with my hands.
The nurse comes in kind of saving the day.
"Great news! Theses are your parents!" The people who apparently are my parents jump up with joy and start crying. I stand up slowly and looks at them. They go to hug me. I let them and kind of hug them back. This is so weird.
"Wh-why did y'all leave me in the first place..?" I ask after pulling away from the hug.
"You were kidnaped not left.....you where at your friends birthday party and we thought you where safe with them...." The ladies voice trails off and she starts crying.
"O-oh.." I mumble looking down. I get this weird flashback thing. It's quick and confusing. All I saw was the people in front of me but they looked younger.. They were saying goodnight.. What the hell.. I look up at them.
"I'm sorry.." I mumble.
"Why don't you come and stay with us at a hotel room and we can try and get to know you better?" They ask. I look at Seth for permission.
"You can go if you want baby they are your parents" I nod.
"Okay.."
"So is that a yes?" My mom and excited.
"Sure.." I say looking up at her. This is still all so weird. I can't believe that for this long he's been lying.. That for this long my real parents thought I was gone forever.. It's all so.. Wrong.. And mean. I can't believe someone would do that.. Someone would kidnap another kid.. And keep them for themselves. I never knew this world was so cruel..
