Chapter Fourteen

I spot Ashley and Austin at the top of the railing of the stairs laughing and getting closer and closer to each other.

I push through the people crowding and a guy spins me around while I keep walking

"It's Zendaya.." I hear whispered through the crowd while walking.

People try to dance with me but I slightly ignore them still trying to get to Ashley.

Some how I end up in the kitchen with the chef who is working alone.

I sigh as I sit on the silver counter.

The chef turns to me.

He is a black haired young asian man, he isn't that half bad.

"Something wrong?" He says looking at me then placing the plate down.

"Ugh, it's just never mind." I say looking down.

"Tell me about it, Im a chef working at age 23 and I dont get paid enough to do this crap." He says sitting next to me.

"pfft its worse."

"Your zendaya coleman how can you have any problems in this world."

"Its more than that, just because im famous, doesn't mean that i dont have problems."

He laughs, "Yea I know we are all human."

"Well... Thanks for this non-helpful talk." I say getting up.

"Anytime Zendaya" he says getting up as well.

I laugh walking out and a swarm of people are circled on the dance floor.

I look around and I see Ashley and Austin dancing swiftly on the floor.

I get pissed and walk over to the decor table with a bowl of marbles as she spins on the floor showing off laughing at everyone else.

I lightly tip the bowl and the marbles slide under her feet and she falls on her face.

I laugh slightly and sink back into the crowd not seen as Austin helps her to her feet.

I turn around and I walk up away .

The chef is dancing around so I decide to go talk to him

"I never caught you name." I say to him.

He turns to me dissing the girl he was dancing with.

"Cason." He says shaking my hand.

"Wanna dance?" I say pulling his hand to the dance floor seeing Austin and Ashley.

He laughs following me onto the floor.

"I'm to old for you." He says looking at me in the eye.

"Just play along." I say giggling.

He spins me and dips me right next to Ashley and Austin, I already know he knows what I am doing.

We slow dance right next to them and I know Austin had gotten angry.

I can't say I didn't catch feelings for Cason.

Austin finally breaks from Ashley and goes by the cake leading her.

"Go get em Z" Cason says whisping me letting me go then smiling.

I feel the heat rushing to my cheeks as I walk away.

"Ashley." I say

She turns to me glareing

"Oh... its you."

Austin turns looking scared.

"I know you sent the text."

"What text" She says laughing.

The crowd is looking at us now.

"Uh... you know don't act stupid Ashley." I say raising my voice slightly.

"Your the stupid one ZENDAYA!" she says slapping me across the face.

There is a sharp pain in my cheek as I turn angry

I push her back then hit her in the face as she falls face first turning into the cake.

She falls holding her face screaming.

She gets up with cake all over her and she runs out the party.

Austin looks at me in shock.

I walk over the smashed cake on the floor and softly kiss him on the lips.

He kisses me back holding my face.

I melt in his arms as the party goes on and the music blares.

Pictures are taking but I don't care, this is the best time of my life.
