Lucifer x Reader[Aspen](Supernatural) - Lucifer's faith in humanity

(consider this my version of episode 19 of season 5. If you haven't gotten that far, don't read.)

I wasn't really known to anyone, parents died of old age, no siblings or other family. Though somehow I managed to get the attention of devil himself. He didn't want me for a hostage, or anything that meant harm. I had just bumped into him and I offered to get each other over coffee. I could tell that Lucifer was different, even before he explained everything about the Angels, demons, and other supernatural being that exist with humans. With my consent, he carved two protection symbols into me; one for the Angels, and one for the demons. He also told about his true vessel, Sam Winchester.

Despite what he could of done to me, Lucifer decided to protect me, I still don't understand why. Anyway I've learned a lot since we met, even that Luci has started to regain faith in humanity and wants to stop what's happening, but he doesn't want to go back in the box he had been locked in for millennia. I worry about him and his vessel, and Sam had summoned Lucifer to a hotel in the middle of nowhere.

Naturally I was with him, somewhat hidden in the shadows, Luci didn't want the other gods to find me. He rung the bell at the front desk and a man in a red Butler uniform appeared. They spoke briefly before Luci used his abilities to snap the man's neck, I had to look away for it since I was a bit squirmy with such gore. He turned to my general direction and gave me a sympathetic smile.

"Sorry, forgot that you're not used to violence, Aspen. Though you might want to keep you eyes close and block any noise that you can. It's about to get messy." He started walking down the hall that lead to the grand ballroom. Before he could turn the corner I reached out and grabbed him arm.

"You don't have to do this Lucifer, you said you wanted to change." He looked back with yet again, a sympathetic smile and pulled my hand away.

"I do, but you heard what I said to Mercury over there. These, so-called gods are worse than demons. Worse than the scumbag humans that live on this earth that infect and turn innocents like you into them!" He grabbed my shoulders and looked me dead in the eyes then released me, turned and started down the hall, screams and blood hitting the walls echoed in the empty hotel. Once it stopped I sucked in a breath and sprinted down the same hall, avoiding the bodies of the Pagan gods' vessels. I managed to sneak into the room to see, whom I assume is Sam, his brother, and some lady rush out. Another man was holding a blade to Lucifer.

"Lucifer, you're my brother and I love you, but you are a great big bag of dicks." Had to stop myself from laughing, but quickly sobered up and listened to what they had to say. Luci got upset when God brought home another child? Doesn't he count everyone as his child through? Gabriel, the guy holding the blade was loyal to humanity despite our flaws, and would shive Michael's ass if he was here too.

"Almost all of them are broken, flawed abortions!" Gabriel raised an eyebrow at the 'almost' part, but carried on talking.

"I know you think you're doing the right thing Gabriel, but I know where your heart truly lies." I quickly realized what was going to happen and prepared myself to intervene. The real Gabriel took aim but before Luci could shove the blade into his brother, I stepped in and took the blow. I gasped at the burning pain, squeezing Lucifer's arms, I managed to chuckle before looking up at him.

"Still think I'm a flawed abortion?" My knees buckled and I fell into Lucifer's arms, coughing up blood. Gabriel was out of there in a flash, but Lucifer was freaking out. He had tears in his eyes, and was visibly shaking.

"Hey, cant you fix injuries with your Angel mojo?" He chuckled, gripped my hand, and yanked out the blade. I screamed, naturally. He then placed two fingers on my forehead, my vision turned black.

"If you're watching this I'm-" The laptop was shut on the two, startling them. It was Gabriel, alive and kicking. This confused the hell out of the Winchesters.

"What happened with Lucifer? I thought you were going to kill him, and why were you in that video?" Sam asked grabbing his laptop from the roof of the car and heading to his seat.

"Long story short, a human named Aspen stepped in and brought back some of Lucifer's faith in humanity."
