(BECAUSE IM TRAAAAASH) (also warning: bad parenting, preset sibling names, swearing, and a sad lack of knowledge of horses.)(me thinks this is the longest one)

"Jo! Git yer ass o'er 'ere 'nd 'elp meh!" I sighed as I jogged over to assist my pops with the new mare. Pops use to be a wiz with horses, but his methods were older than he was, unlike the horses we had. I was the oldest of seven kids, that made me responsible for their actions, ma's health, and half of the chores with the twins, Charlie and Uri. Our youngest, Aki, was only in charge of catering to ma's simple needs and sweeping the floors.

"Jean, what te 'ell 're ya doing? What wit te man on yer back, Pat?" I had calmed the mare and settled it back into its pen when the two came up to Pops and I with a man draped over their shoulders. Out of quick wit and having taken care of Ma and Pops for so long, I grabbed the man from them and dragged him to the house while barking orders to all of my siblings.

"Twins, get a bed ready! Jean, get warm water and towels! Pat, take Aki with ya te get some of Pops' old clothes. Ma, please go back to yer room, I have everything under control." I hoisted the man onto the bed the twins had and starting unbuckling the heavy clothes that clung to the man's skin with cold sweat. A heatstroke, something that Pops and the twins got annually with every summer. The man had a prosthetic arm which was rather common around these parts, Pops had a fake leg and the twins had matching fake hands.

"Everyone get out! Leave me te take care of 'im." I ordered, everyone scrambling to leave otherwise face my menacing glare and unshakable tone of Parent VoiceTM. Honestly, I was more of their parent then our own parents, I practically raised Aki after they were born, Ma having become too physically frail to take care of them.

"Do ya think that man is a real cowboy Jo? He has the same outfit as those vids ya show us when we're sick." The man Jean and Pat brought in had been in and out of conscious for the past few days, muttering incoherent words before going back to sleep. I had been balancing everything I already do with teaching Aki how to take care of him when I'm busy and doing so when I get time. I had Pat wash his clothes while Uri cleaned his weapon with Charlie, Pops, Ma, and Jean all getting pissy about a stranger sleeping in our only spare bed. Aki only had questions that I didn't have the answer to since I couldn't get any clear info from the man.

"JoJo, he's awake! The cowboy's awake!" Aki screamed, running towards the despite knowing not to when we had the doors open. The new mare reared up when they got to close, I managed to jump and grab Aki, rolling away from the mare's powerful kicks in time. I tossed them to Uri before facing off with the pissed horse, grinding my teeth as it started to buck around like in a rodeo. It was nervous, mostly likely scared, and had a high chance of hurting itself if I don't stop it.

"Everyone back up, give it space. Let me handle this, that's an order." I spoke calmly as I slowly made my way closer while searching for an opening. When I found one, I sprinted forward, climbed onto the saddle, and started to gently sooth the animal. Staying on the mare until it began to walk towards the stables on it's own, unclipping it from the equipment to meet my family outside the door. Ma, Pat and Charlie crowding around Aki, who scrambled out of their holds to jump at me with tears in their eyes and apologies raining from their mouth.

"It's okay Aki, nobody was hurt and you did exactly as I said. C,mon, let's see this cowboy." I stoned my expressions so opened the door to the cowboy's room, he was trying to stand while reaching for his clothes when he froze in place at our arrival.

"Well howdy, care to be a doll and hand my clothes? I'll explain everything when 'm done." I set Aki down and sent them off to help with Ma's daily medicine while I assisted the cowboy with getting dressed and guiding him into the dinning room where I had the twins call everyone in. Jean set a plate of food and coffee for the man who was quick to thank all of us for the hospitality while digging in.

"I'm Jesse McCree, an agent of Overwatch. I was out on a solo mission when I was attacked and stranded. I'm mighty thankful for your children came to my rescue, now I'll be in contact with my team and be out of your hair asap." I watched my father's expression, furrowed brows and a deep frown the had settled after Ma was deemed mentally unfit to work when I was seventeen. He had sent Ma, Aki, Jean, and Pat off to finish what they were doing beforehand while the twins were sent back out to the stables.

"Jo, 'm puttin' you in charge of gettin' 'im ta town. Then I want you right back 'ere when they gone. Now git!" I saluted and told McCree to wait by the stables while grabbed my gear and wrote down schedules for everyone while I was gone. The nearest town was a three day ride with two stops during the night and a restock in town, so I packed for a week in case we'd hit trouble.

"Alright McCree, let's go before Pops wants something from ya as payment." I clipped the supplies the saddle of my mare while McCree lead one of the stallions out to wait for me. Uri had picked out the cowboy's horse, the old man had been limited to going to town and back. A poor choice, but I wasn't in the mood to stick around while Pa was still pissed off, galloping ahead out of the sight of the farm.

"Yer the oldest of those kids? Quite the responsibility you got on yer shoulders." McCree mused, smoking a cigar as we walked in the burning heat of the sun, myself being covered with a big sheet that I shaped into looking similar to what people would wear in the Middle East to protect themselves.

(I had something, then I lost it... Feel free to go off of this, as long as I get some credit.)
