"Um, Remi this is Castiel, Cas this is our friend, Remi." I look at the blue-eyed Angel then looked at Dean with an eyebrow raised. Castiel furrowed his brows together, probably because I haven't said anything.

"Yes, he dragged me out of hell. Oh, and Remi is a mute, so don't expect them to talk or anything." The Angel looked even more confused than before. It was oddly adorable, and hilarious to say the least. I walked past the two and waltzed into the bunker to find Sam. He knows sign language, so I'm naturally closer to him than his brother. I found him hunched over his laptop in the kitchen with a bowl of rabbit food. He looked up from the screen and pulled a chair for me.

"It's been too long, Sam." I signed, sitting down at the table. He smiled then looked up past me. I looked back to see Castiel stand in the entryway.

"What's up, Cas? You need something?" Cas and I had a staring contest until he looked up at Sam. His eyebrows practically sewn together in a adorably confused look.

"How come Remi doesn't talk? Are they unable to do so, or did a witch curse them?" Sam wanted to snicker at the witch's curse, but cleared his throat.

"Remi was diagnosed with Laryngeal cancer which affects your vocal cords. They had it removed so it wouldn't spread. I don't know if your angel mojo will reverse the cancer or the surgery." I shrugged, having been use to my own silence. Castiel walked up and stood uncomfortably close to me. Before he could press his fingers on my head, I pushed his hands away.

"I'm use to my silence. I've forgotten what my voice sounds like, and I don't need a voice anyway." Sam translated for Cas, making the Angel tilt his head like a dog. I let a huff of air out and grabbed a notebook from the table. After writing my explanation of how actions speak louder than words, I handed it to Cas and got up from my chair.

"I'm going to go pray to Balthazar. He knows ASL too." Before I could fully exit the room, Cas grabbed my shoulder and spun me around. I would've crashed into him if he didn't hold me in place.

"Remi, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, I wanted to know if you would teach me this... ASL? I believe that it would benefit both of us if more than one person can communicate with you." I smiled and nodded which made a small smile grace his face.

Next: who the fuck knows

(Laryngeal cancer is an actual thing. Just saying, and now I'm hungry for some lettuce...)
