(Happy Birthday to Steven Grant Rogers! I'm going off what the comics say his birth date is(July 4th, 1920) so he's... 96! Jeez, him and James(Bucky) are old, but my great grandma is 93 and she's still alive and kicking! Anyway, what I mean by foreign is that Reader(You) live in America, but was born in a different country where the 4th of July doesn't mean anything special.)
"Bleau! What are you doing in your room? It's independence day! You should at least be somewhat excited, being here for ___!(number of years)" My American roommate and friend complained. They were decked out in the patriotic colors of America and backed out of my room when I glared at them from above my laptop screen. Just because the day their country was freed from the British Empire through a war, doesn't mean that everyone in the country has to celebrate. Besides, I have a paper due soon and I was dragging into help [y/f/n] with decorating for her 4th of July party apparently they invited some friends from work that wanted a break from their normal parties. [Y/f/n] works for Stark Industries which is a surprise since they never do any of their work.
"Hey Bleau? Do you want to take a break or something? That paper isn't due for another two weeks and I want you to meet my friends. I think one of them can actually help you with that essay." I sighed, put some of my stuff away, got cleaned up, and came downstairs. [y/f/n] cheered and went to go put some music on up top the roof. A knock startled me and I hesitated on calling [y/f/n] to answer it until it started again.
"Hello? If you're here for [y/f/n] they're up on the roof where the party's at..." I froze in place, when in the hell did [y/f/n] become friends with the Avengers! I guided them to the roof where [y/f/n] introduced me to them and everyone went their own way. I however, made my way to a quieter spot on the roof and looked over the city.
"Mind if I join you? I'm Steve if you didn't know." He sat down a relative distance away, I smiled, watching his face just light up when I reacted. A few words were exchanged until a comfy silence fell upon us.
"Um, did you know that I'm turning 96 today? It's funny how I became Captain America and I was born on Independence Day." He looked at me with a half smile, making me smile when the fireworks started.
"Happy Birthday Steve."
Next: idk someone it's 4am give me a break!
(Okay call me lazy, but again happy belated birthday to Steve Rogers! Also I watched CA:CW while I did this and I'm inspired to write a 'fix-it Fic' because the ending was shitty, that's my opinion. Alright?)
