Chapter 7: "when i was drowning thats when i could finally breathe"

"Mommy! Wake up! Daddy said we can go swimming today!" I yelled.

I'm jumping on mommys bed. Daddy is standing in the doorway.

"He did?" Mommy asked.

I nodded my head yes. Them mommy grabbed me and started to tickle my belly.

"Hey!!" I laughed.

I'm laughing so hard that I fell down on the bed.

"Stop!" I yelled.

Daddy came over and started to tickle mommy.

"Run while you can!!" He said.

I got off mommys bed and ran to my room. I went into my bathroom and his in my bathtub. I used to hate bath tubs. My old daddy used to push my head underwater all the time. But I know my new daddy won't do that. Neither will Taylor. I mean mommy.

"Where's Addie?" I heard mommy say.

"Nowhere!" I yelled back.

Then mommy looked into the bathtub. I screamed.

"Alright, let's go eat breakfast and then we can go swim!" Mommy said.

"Yay!!!!"

I ran downstairs.

~Taylor's POV~

I wake up to Addie jumping on my bed.

"Mommy! Wake up! Daddy said we can go swimming today!"

I opened my eyes to see Addie on my bed and Calvin in the doorway laughing. I shot him a death glare.

"He did?" I asked.

Addie nodded. I grabbed Addie and started to tickle her.

"Hey!"

She fell backwards on my bed.

"Stop! " she yelled.

I didn't stop. Then Calvin came up behind me and started to tickle me!

"Run while you can!!" He told Addie.

She ran out of my room and down the hall. Probably to her room.

"Let me up!" I choked out.

Calvin eventually helped me up and I went into Addie's room.

"Where's Addie?" I asked.

"Nowhere!" She yelled back.

It sounded like it came from her bathroom. I went in and looked into the tub. She screamed. I laughed.

"Alright let's go eat breakfast and then we can go swim!"

"Yay!"

I helped her out of the tub and she ran downstairs.

~Addie's POV~

"Can we go swimming now mommy?" I asked.

I finished my breakfast just like mommy told me to do.

"Yes! Let's go get your swimsuits on!"

I went back upstairs behind mommy. We went to my room and I got my swimsuit out of my bottom dresser drawer. Mommy helped take off my clothes and put on my swimsuit. I followed mommy outside to her pool. It's so big! Then daddy came outside. Mommy went over to talk to daddy. I went over to the pool and tried to sit down on the ledge. But I fell in. I don't know how to swim. I felt water fill my lungs. "I screamed so loud but no one heard a thing. " then everything went black.

~Taylor's POV~

"Can we swim now mommy?" Addie asked.

She finished all of her breakfast.

" yes! Let's go get your swimsuit on!"

I led Addie upstairs to her room. She pulled out her swimsuit from her bottom dresser drawer. I helped her take her clothes off. She still has so many bruises and cuts! Poor Addie! I helped her into her blue swimsuit. She looks sooooooo adorable in it! I then led her outback to my pool. I see Calvin come out and I start talking to him about what to have for lunch and dinner. Then I hear a scream. I turn around to see Addie falling into the deep end of the pool.

"Addie!" I screamed.

I ran over and jumped in. She's at the very bottom. I grab her and pill her up to the surface. Then Calvin takes her from my arms and lays her down. She coughs. I don't need to do CPR. her little eyes flutter open.

"Addie!" I yelled.

She started crying.

"I sowy! I didn't mean to! Don't hurt me!"

"Honey! It's ok! I won't ever hurt you!"

I can't believe she thinks I will hurt her!!

~Addie's POV~

Mommy isn't mad at me! Now there is daddy! And my real mommy that's in heaven kept me safe like she said she would!

"Can we swim now?" I asked.

I'm still laying in the "cold hard ground" by the pool. Mommy and daddy look at each other.

"Ok princess, but you have to stay by me or mommy so that doesn't happen again." Daddy said.

"Ok!"

I stood up and mommy grabbed my hand. She walked me over to the steps of the pool. I tightened my grip on mommys hand. I don't want to go underwater again. It's scary down there. Daddy picked me up. I see a swan floaty thingy on the other side of the pool where I fell in.

"I want that!" I said pointing to it.

Daddy smiled. "Ok princess. Go to mommy so I can get it for you. " he handed me to mommy.

Then daddy swam all the way to the deep end to get the swan for me. Mommy carefully set me down on it. They both moved mr. Swan ( that's what I named it.) across the pool very slowly.

"Faster mr. Swan!" I giggled.
