Chapter 5: "Lucky you"

Taylor's phone keeps dinging. She told me earlier that it's because her fans are commenting on the picture of us. That's sooo cool! Eventually, Taylor looked at their phone to read some comments. But she quickly set it down after just a few minutes.

"What's wrong?" I asked Taylor as I climbed onto her lap.

"Oh, some people just aren't being very nice. "

She put her face in her hands.

"Don't you mean that people are mean?"

She sat up and smiled.

"Yup. There are mean people in the world. But I've learned how to shake it off. "

I laughed. I got off of Taylor lap and started dancing.

"Is this how you shake it off?"

"Totally!!"

Taylor joined in.

"Ok, we need to go shopping for some clothes and decorations for your room."

"Yay!!! I love shopping!!" I screamed.

"Awesome!! When we get oitside, there are going to be lots of people. Some of them will be taking pictures. Some will ask us questions. Don't answer any of the questions. And some will be swifties. It might be a little bit scary for you. " Taylor said.

"I'll be brave!!"

Taylor laughed and picked me up. She also grabbed her purse. Taylor was right, this is a little bit scary!! There are so many people! I closed my eyes and laid my head down on Taylor's shoulder. They asked us a bunch of questions. But I didn't answer them, neither did Taylor. They asked things like "who's the girl?" "How old is she?" "Is she yours?" " did you adopt her?" "Did you kidnap her?" "Where's calvin?" " is Calvin the dad?"

And a bunch of other questions. I looked up to see Taylor waving to her swifties. I waved too. I feel like a princess! Once we got to the car, Taylor put me into a car seat. Then she buckled me up.

"Are you ok Addie?"

I nodded my head. Taylor got into the drivers seat. Then she pulls out her phone and calls somebody.

"Hey! Yeah! Did you see? I don't know what to do! I saw a comment that said: "lucky you. Just kidding! Why would you want to adopt a brat?" I know!! Ok, bye!"

I wonder who she was talking to. I wonder who this Calvin person is that one of those question people were talking about.

"Taylor? Who is this Calvin person that the question people were talking about?" I asked.

"Oh! He's my boyfriend! You are actually going to meet him tonight! He can't wait to meet you! Is that alright?"

"Yes!!"

I can't wait to meet Calvin. But since he's Taylor's boyfriend, does that mean that he's my new daddy?

"Is Calvin my new daddy?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. I can talk to him about it." Taylor replied.

We drove into a really big parking lot. I think that's what it's called. Taylor parked the car and unbuckled my car seat.

"Do you want me to carry you? Those question people are here. " Taylor said.

"Yes please. "

She picked me up and carried me to the doors. This time it wasn't so scary. Once we got into the store, I realized that it's a mall. I've never been to one before. I looked around. Then I see..."mommy!" I shouted.

"Addie!" Mommy screamed.

She ran over to me.

"T-Taylor! You saved my baby girl! Thank you so much!!"

"No problem. "

"You are such a lucky girl! Taylor swift taking care of you. Lucky you!!" Mommy says.

Then she starts to whisper something into my ear as she took me from Taylor's arms.

~ Taylor's POV~

"Mommy!" Addie screamed.

I looked over to see a very skinny woman running over to us.

"Addie!" She yells.

"T-Taylor! You saved my baby girl! Thank you so much!"

"No problem." I replied.

The woman takes Addie out of my arms and started to whisper something to her. I wonder what she's saying. I looked at the woman carefully. She has a black eye and bruised lip. She is even skinnier than Addie! It's not hard to tell Addie's her daughter. They looks so much alike!!

"Taylor, would you mind watching Addie while I use the bathroom?" Addie's mom asked. Snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Sure!"

I gladly took Addie back into my arms and watched the woman quickly walk Rwanda the bathrooms. I see Addie start to cry.

"What's wrong Addie?"

~Addie's POV~

I have to tell Taylor what mommy told me. It's the reason I'm crying.

"Mommy said for you to take care of me. She said she can't take care of me anymore. And she told me not to call her mommy, because a real mommy would have been able to take care of her kids and protect them. But she can't do that. She told me to call you mommy."

" Addie, your mommy will come back." Taylor told me.

"Taylor, mommy said she's not coming back. She can't take care of me!" I screamed the last part.

"Let's just go shopping. Ok?"

I nodded.

I just hope I get to see mommy again one day. As Taylor carried me to a store, I see mommy wave bye to me. I wave back. Then she walks out of the mall. Me and Taylor got lots of clothes! I even got a swimsuit! It's blue with a white tu- tu. I love it!! Taylor told me when Calvin comes over tonight, he will paint my room. I chose a light blue paint color. Taylor picked out the decorations and we went home.
