"Never grow up" (~TS~)

Chapter 10: "safe and sound"

"Addie, wake up honey. " mommy said.

I wake up to find myself on a couch with Meredith laying on top of me.

"Where am I?" I thought I was in a hospital?

"You're at home. We brought you home while you were still asleep. "

"I'm still tired. "

"No, Addie. You need to eat lunch. Then we are going to get ice cream while daddy does your room!"

"Ok. "

I sat up and Meredith jumped onto the floor. I followed mommy into the kitchen. She made me a grilled cheese and turkey sandwich.

"Yummy!" I took a bite.

After I finished my sandwich , I went up to my room to find something to wear. I got out my pink sundress and put it on. Then I went to try and brush my hair. I parted my hair down the middle just like my old mommy showed me. Then I did a braid on each side. I'm getting pretty good at doing braids.

"Addie! Are you ready?" Mommy yelled.

I ran downstairs.

"Ready. "

Mommy picked me up and carried me outside. I see those question people and camera people again. Then I see mommys fans. I wave to them.

"You are so cute, Addie!" A fan yells.

I just wave again. We got to mommys car and turned on the radio. Love story came on. I started crying.

"What's wrong?" Mommy asked.

"This was my other mommys favorite song!"

Mommy turned the radio station. We got to the ice cream place. But I don't want to get out of the car!! What if I see daddy?

"I don't want to get out." I whispered as mommy unbuckled me car seat.

"Why not?"

"I don't want to see daddy ever again!!"

"Addie, your daddy will never be able to hurt you ever again. Your safe and sound now. " mommy said.

Then I heard my mommy that's in heaven voice.

"Be brave." She whispered.

"I'm ready mommy." I said.

Mommy lifted me out of my car seat and carried me inside. I have to trust that my old mommy will protect me, just like she told me.

"What do you want sweetie?" Mommy asked.

"Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles."

After mommy paid, we went to a booth to sit down. I'm on the inside and mommy is on the outside. I ate my yummy ice cream.

"Can I play at the park?" I asked pointing.

"No, you can't. Your not supposed to be running because of your head. Remember?" Mommy said.

Oh yeah. I can't be hyper. I forgot. Being hurt sucks!!!

I nodded my head yes.

Now I remember.

"How about we go sign you up for a gymnastics class? But you will have to wait for your head to be better before you can go." Mommy said.

"Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! How long do I have to wait?"

"3 months."

I looked down at my empty bowl.

"Ok, I'll wait."

Mommy led me over to the car and drove to the gymnastics place.

After mommy signed me up for lessons, that start in 4 months, we drove home. I can't wait to see what daddy did to my room! As soon as I got home I ran up to my room. Daddy is standing outside of it with the door shut.

"Taylor, come up here so I can open the door!" Daddy says.

"Ok. Do it." Mommy replied once she got upstairs.

Daddy opened the door and I went in.

"Woah!" I screamed.

Daddy painted my room the light blue color that I picked out. My bed is up against a wall with my name above it in big fancy letters. On the big wall across from my bed, there is a painted on castle behind my dresser. And the Elsa castle is over in the corner.

"Elsa castle!" I yelled.

I went over and sat down to start playing. All of the characters are here! Elsa, Anna, christoph, sphen, prince hanz, and ever Olaf!

"Go look in your closet. " daddy says.

I got to my closet and open it. A box is sitting on the floor with a picture of a bouncy castle on it.

"A bouncy castle!"

I dragged the box out of my closet.

"A heavy bouncy castle. "

"Look in your bathroom." Mommy said.

I went into my bathroom but I don't see anything. I look in the bathtub.

"A floaty crown!!"

I can't believe this! It's not even my birthday or Christmas!

"You can't use these until your head is all better." Mommy said.

"Awe!"

I really want to jump in my new bouncy castle! I have mommy and daddy a big hug.

"You are the best mommy and daddy in the whole wide world!"

This is sooo awesome! I know my other mommy is watching me from heaven. She's happy I found a good home with a mommy and daddy that can actually take good care of me. I'm happy too. I love my family!!!!
