The rest of the weekend is just like any other. My mother gets aggravated at every little thing, especially me. Whenever it's just "too much" she rushes off to the bar and comes home extremely drunk. When this happens, I have to lock myself in my room. It's the safest place.

Soon enough Monday arrives.

Madison and every other girl in the school apparently decided that they hate me.

I guess they've only been invited to do things with those popular guys alone at home, not anything public like sitting with them at lunch. I don't see what the big deal is. The guys barely even notice me, anyways.

I walk into the cafeteria next to Logan, my shoulder against his side.

I start to settle down on the bench of the popular table, where I figured Logan wanted me to, when somebody steps behind me.

"You can't sit here," they say.

"Why not? Is it embarrassing?" I ask.

There's a pause before he starts to reason against my sitting here again. "Well, we do have a reputation that we need to keep up," he motives.

I twist my back so I'm facing whoever this rude person is. Ryan. I give him a harsh glare, grab my things, and leave. What a lame excuse he had.

Suddenly, another mystery figure runs up to me.

Is it Ryan begging me to come back? I doubt it.

Instead I see Logan... Logan! I had forgotten about Logan!

"Leaving without me?" he asks, making an adorable pouty face.

No real explanation comes to mind, so I just shrug. "How does sitting with me hurt their reputation?" I ask the question that's been bothering me ever since Logan told me about their stupid orders. We both already knew the answer, but I couldn't help the words from leaving my mouth. When Ryan kicked me out of their table just minutes ago, his words hurt, even if I don't like to admit it.

Now Logan is the one to stay silent. He opens his mouth, but instead of words I hear giggles.

Not his giggles, but some girl and her friends.

I turn my head to see no one other than Chelsea.

"Ha, they kicked you out of their lunch table? That's too bad. But I bet I can surely qualify for a seat," she teases. She smirks at her victory and starts off towards Ryan's table.

Before she leaves, Chelsea manages to sneak in a whisper to Logan. "You silly boy," she says, "Ryan is a way better friend."

Logan just rolls his eyes.

I sigh and pull him towards an empty table.
