"How are you feeling there?" Kane asked for the sixth time already.
"Fine, I guess?" I replied.
Right now I'm in the middle of my first chemo session and to be honest I don't know how this is going to play out. I never had chemo treatments let alone cancer. At the moment I feel pretty fine, a little tired, but nothing more.
"Just a few more hours to go and we can leave this place." Kane smiled patting my hand.
"Thank you for staying in here with me. It means a lot." I leaned over and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.
"In sickness and in health, right?" He flashed his wedding band.
I nodded my head and got myself comfortable in the chair I was sitting in. Let the fun begin.
*Zander's POV*
"You think my mom's going to be alright?" I asked putting some dishes away.
"She'll be fine, Zander. Your dad went with her this morning, right?" She asked handing me a plate to dry.
"Yeah, but I still feel like I should've went with them. This just scares me."
"I know you're scared and I'm not going to tell you not to worry. But right now your mom needs our full support and plus she doesn't want us to be all depressed. Let's try and make the best for your mother and our family."
I sighed nodding in agreement and placed the dried dish in the cabinet. "I just think I owe her a lot, ya know? For being a pain in the ass teenager."
"You weren't a pain in the ass, Zander! You being there for your mom during the hard times and supporting her was plenty. I think you gave your mom a lot more than you think. Believe me."
I thought about it for a second and then an idea popped into my head, causing me to smile like an idiot.
"What are you smiling about?" Bria chuckled.
"I want to take my mom somewhere. Well, not just my mom, but everyone!"
"Where?"
"SeaWorld!"
"SeaWorld?! Why there?" Bria laughed.
"My parents took me there for one of my birthdays. I remember my mom having a really good time there. We can get a hotel on the beach and go from there. We don't have to only go to SeaWorld! We can stay the weekend in San Diego."
"What if your mom gets sick? Or doesn't feel up to the whole vacation idea?"
"I'll bring San Diego to her then!"
"You can't bring SeaWorld to your parent's house!"
"Don't be so sure, babe. I have my ways."
