"You blew it." Pony whispers to Johnny as I roll my eyes, looking at the awful movie playing.
"Thank you. He had me scared to death." The girl in front of us says, Johnny glancing at her before spacing out for a second. I could tell he glanced at me, for her head turns to me before back at the boys.
"Sure didn't show it." Johnny says, obviously uncomfortable, "Ain't nobody talk to Dal like that."
"From what I saw, you do." I laugh a little at this before putting my hand over my mouth. The girl next to her turns around, her straw in her mouth as she talks to the boys.
"Why don't y'all sit with us and protect us." Johnny looks at me and I nod, Johnny then turning to Pony. They smile at each other and exchange a few words before standing up. Pony steps over me, quickly sitting next to the red-head. Gosh I need to learn her name.
"How old are y'all?"
"I'm fourteen."
"Sixteen." Johnny says quietly as I smile, eating another piece of popcorn.
"I thought you were both fourteen," The girl next to Johnny says, making me roll my eyes. Johnny knew he looked younger, and he hated it.
"I thought you were both sixteen," the red-head says, making me smile. I like her, she seems nice and she has the same color hair as me. Her's was straight, and way more tame than mine, while mine was puffy and curly.
"How come y'all ain't scared of us, like you was Dally?" Johnny asks, making me smile again. Asking how you aren't scared of Johnny is like asking why you aren't scared of a newborn puppy. You can't be scared of it, since it's a puppy.
"You two are too sweet lookin to scare anyone. Besides, I know about Dallas Winston. You two don't look mean."
"Yeah, right, cause we're young and innocent." Pony says sarcastically, making me roll my eyes.
"There's nothin' wrong with being young and innocent Pony." I say, everyone turning to look at me.
"Oh, I'm sorry, you can pull up a chair." The red- head says, worry on her face. I smile at her kindness and glance at Johnny, but he was looking back at the screen.
"Oh no, it's fine. I'm Violet."
"Cherry." she shakes my hand before turning back around. "No.. you're just not dirty."
"Oh come on, Dal's okay. I mean, he's tough and all, but he's a cool little guy if you get to know him." He smiles, making my heart ache. Johnny will defend Dallas at all costs, and will until he dies. Even after he dies. I look up to see Two Bit walking towards us, putting his finger to his lips as I raise my eyebrows.
"He'd leave you alone if he knew who you were."
"I'm glad he doesn't know us."
"I kind of admire him." the other girl says as Two bit stands behind them. He scares them, causing Johnny to scream and cover his face. Two starts laughing as he wraps his arms around Johnny's neck. He starts brushing Johnny's hair, claiming it was because it was out of place but I knew it was to get some of the grease out. He was exactly like me, and knew Johnny had to be protected at all costs.
"Here kid, have a beer." Two hands him a thing of beer, causing me to get up from my seat and grab it from him. I was not letting Johnny near that anytime soon. "It will settle your nerves."
"Well, who have we got here?Your grandmothers?" he turns to the girl next to Johnny, who laughs and looks back at the screen. "Why you hanging out with these greasers anyway?"
