KYUNGSOO'S P.O.V.
2013 - Present
"Hey Kyungsoo hyung! Can you make us your spaghetti again? It was really good!" Kai begged, clasping his hands together.
I chuckled, "Sure."
"Yes!" He cheered. "Sehun! Hyungs! D.O hyung is going to make dinner tonight!" He yelled as he ran off to the others.
I looked in the fridge to see that we've ran out of some ingredients. I walked out of the kitchen and to the living room where most of the members were.
"I'll be right back! I'm just going to buy some ingredients!"
"Okay, stay safe!" Lay said from the couch.
"Wait a second D.O!" Suho hyung said, running to his room, then back to me.
He pulled out his card and handed it. "Here, just use my card."
I nodded then smiled. "I'll be back soon, bye!" I said to the members.
"Bye!" They all said, almost in sync.
I grabbed my coat, a mask to cover my face and left our dorm. I put my hands in front of my mouth, keeping the warmth and put them in my pockets. Fall is coming soon and the weather is getting colder each day.
I made my way to the market successfully without anyone recognizing me. I quickly bought meat and made my way to the vegetables. I walked around, looking for the right ones when I heard a familiar voice from a girl.
"Kyungsoo?"
I turn to face the girl who spoke my name. Her face looked familiar as well, but who is she?
She noticed my confusion and smiled brightly. "You don't remember me? What a shame. Do you at least remember Snow?"
'Snow?'
My brain suddenly decided crash the memories onto me.
"Ah, you." Was all I could say, still from shock, seeing her again and besides, I never really got to learn her name.
"You? You? That's all I get?" She said, putting her hands on her waist and giving me a face of disappointment.
"I still have to repay you..." She trailed off looking at the plastic bags I'm holding.
"You're buying food? I saw you looking at the vegetables and I know the perfect place for fresh ones!" She smiled once again.
Without my reply, she grabbed my hand and pulled me to a grocery store with force. She pulled me into the store and took me to just the place I was looking for. I was kind of happy seeing the fresh vegetables, just as she said. But I wasn't at the same time... She reminds me of someone I haven't mentioned in years.
"Why are you wearing that mask? Are you sick?" She asked, pulling on my mask.
I backed away from her touch not wanting contact and from being surprised. How does she not know?
"You're not talking much. Do you have a fever or something?" She came closer and placed her hand on my forehead, concerned.
I took a step away from her touch again and mumbled, "I'm fine."
I walked away from her and went to have a look at the vegetables, with her standing beside me. Without a word, I grabbed all the vegetables I needed and went to the cashier.
While walking, she spoke, "You sure are buying a lot of ingredients."
I slightly nodded, "I'm cooking dinner for my 'family.'"
A wide smile was making its way onto her face. "Really? That's so cool! I wish I could cook." She pouted.
'I could teach you if you want...'
I could've said those words, but I stayed silent. I was reminded of that person too much.
I quickly payed with Suho's black card with her looking at it in awe and walked out. She stayed beside me as if she was stuck.
"I think you've repaid me enough, thank you." I bowed and walked away.
"Wait!" She called out, just like two years ago.
"Stop following me." I said, annoyed as I picked up my pace.
"I just want to talk to you." She answered, seeming sad that I didn't want to talk to her.
"Why?"
"Why can't I talk to you?"
"Because."
"Because what?"
"It's none of your business, just please... Leave me alone."
She stopped walking, hearing those words escape my mouth.
"I haven't repaid you yet." She muttered, looking down at the concrete.
I stopped walking as well and turned around. "Yes you have."
"No I haven't. Snow means so much to me, so much more than what meets the eye. At least let me walk you home to make sure you're safe, please..." She pleaded, taking a hold of my hands.
I let out the air I've been holding in with a sigh and nodded. "Then let's go... My family can't wait much longer since most of them get hungry easily." I said, taking my hands away from her's.
She chuckled, "You must have a big family then."
"Mhm," I hummed, walking with her by my side.
"By the way, how did you know my name?" I asked, eyeing her suspiciously.
If she doesn't know EXO, then how doesn't she know my name? I never talked to anyone at school, except for the teachers.
She rubbed her neck nervously. "You were known as the school geek, but I'm glad no one bullied you."
I nodded, taking in the new information.
"My name is Lee Haneul. I've noticed you didn't know my name." She smiled again.
I nodded in acknowledgment, not letting out a word.
We walked in comfortable silence and we made it to the dorm in no time. She looked at our dorm in awe since it was pretty big.
My plan was to quickly unlock the door, bid goodbye, close the door and try to forget her, but life seemed to make a u-turn.
Baekhyun hyung suddenly opened the door and looked at me and Haneul. "Oh, D.O!"
"D... O?" Haneul questioned my stage name.
"Is she your friend?" He asked, giving me the knowing smile.
Before I could answer him, he spoke, "Why don't you come in for dinner?"
Why Baekhyun... Why?
