제 28 장: Perspective of a Blind Girl

THIRD PERSON P.O.V.

One year ago...

"Can't you see Yeon Ah? All he's been doing is causing you pain. You've never even been a real couple, why do you still go after him? Don't you have a boyfriend? What about Kyungsoo?" Yeon Ah's friend, scolded through the phone.

"N-No... When I'm with Jiminie, I just... It just feels different, you know? I see sparks and fireworks." She answered, smiling at the thought.

"All Jimin is going to do is break your heart! He loves someone else and he wants to be with someone else. By following him around like that, by him teasing you with your stupid little crush and pretending that you're a couple was all a joke!"

"Yah! Don't talk about him like that! I know his feelings for me are real, as are mine! I know you don't approve of him, but guess what? You're not my mother. I don't need anyone's approval before loving someone!"

"Can't you open your eyes to the obvious?!"

"There's nothing you can do to change my mind. By Kyungsoo's and I's first year anniversary, I-I'll break up with him... So that I can finally be with Jimin."

"All you're doing is breaking someone else's heart to get yours broken as well. Are you really that stupid? Why did you even accept Kyungsoo as a boyfriend in the first place?"

"I-I don't know..."

"If you really like me, then dump your boyfriend. Say these exact words.." Jimin said, writing things on a piece of paper then handing it to her.

She glanced at the piece of paper to find a list of horrible things to say;

- tell him that he's waste of time
- tell him that his voice is ugly
- tell him that his smile annoys you
- tell him that he's disgusting

"B-But I-I..." Yeon Ah stuttered. She loves Jimin, so why is she hesitating?

"Listen Yeon Ah... If you really love that Kyungsoo guy, then love him. Don't leave him for me if you know he's the one." Jimin said, knowing that she likes Kyungsoo but is in denial. She even knows well that Jimin doesn't have mutual feelings, or so he thought.

"No! I love you Jimin!"

He sighed. She may love him, but he only saw her as a friend. A friend who couldn't feel what's right.

However, what's worst is what he didn't expect. He didn't expect that she was going to actually do it.

After Yeon Ah broke up with Kyungsoo, she immediately walked away. She walked away because she didn't want to regret doing it. Yet as she did so, her heart felt heavy and she didn't know why. The feeling was unknown to her until a single tear drop landed on her hand.

"I can't believe you!" Jimin ruffled his hair in frustration. "I told you to say that because I knew you wouldn't! I knew you truly loved him so why?" He asked, looking straight into his eyes.

"I-I... I don't know..." Yeon Ah whispered as tears began to run down her face.

"Jimin," She cried out, "I want Kyungsoo back..."

Present

Yeon Ah reached her hotel and slammed the door shut. She slid to the floor and hugged her knees closer to her body.

"I'm such an idiot..." She whispered to herself before sloppily walking up to her kitchen and pulling out a bottle of wine.

"If only Kyungsoo knew that I was hanging out with my brother and not some random man... maybe... maybe things could've been different..." Yeon Ah spoke to herself as tears ran down her cheeks, followed by black mascara.

She gulped a big amount of the bitter red wine.

"I could've had a second chance... I could've been truly happy..."

She gulped, yet another big amount.

"I should've told Kyungsoo about my brother!" She yelled and threw the glass to the floor in anger and regret.

Yeon Ah was full of regrets and the thing she wanted most was to go back in time. Just once... to the day when she decided to break up with him. Because in her mind, if she had that chance, she could be living happily with Kyungsoo right now.
