제 8 장: Sick

THIRD PERSON P.O.V.

Haneul sat down on the chair beside Kyungsoo's bed and played with her phone a bit. While sitting down, she kept her ridiculous smile, thinking about his own smile. Kyungsoo was already sleeping and every now and then, she'd glance at his peaceful face.

Forgetting about doing research on EXO, she stares at Kyungsoo's face a bit longer than usual. She admired his squishy face and even laughed a bit, comparing him to a penguin.

Haneul slowly became a bit tired and rested her head on her arms at the edge of the bed. She closed her eyes and with the last sight of Kyungsoo, she fell asleep.

A few hours later, the rest of the EXO members open the door with a bucket of fresh chicken. Suho immediately walks to the kitchen and tells Kris to call Haneul and Kyungsoo down to eat dinner.

Kris makes his way up the stairs and to D.O's door. Without knocking, he opens the door to see them both sleeping. Kris chuckles evilly and takes a photo of both of them. They looked really cute sleeping, so evil Kris sets it as his background. He softly closes the door and runs back downstairs.

"Where's Haneul and D.O?" Suho asks, looking at Kris.

"They're sleeping together." Kris answers, although it wasn't completely true.

D.O was sleeping properly on the bed and Haneul was sleeping on the chair next to him, but Kris wanted to fool the Appa of the house.

Suho drop the fork he was holding onto the ground with his jaw hitting the floor and with wide eyes.

"THEY'RE WHAT?!" He yells, making all the other members acknowledge their presence. "WHY AREN'T YOU DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT?! IT'S YOUR JOB AS THE SECOND APPA TO BE WORRIED!" Suho yelled at Kris, poking his finger at him every word he specified.

"What happened?" Kai asked as he was the first to sit down.

Kai grabbed a chicken leg from the bucket and earned a light smack on the head.

"Kai! What did I tell you?! Wait for everyone, then we can start eating! HAVE YOU NO MANNERS?!" Suho yells at Kai, scolding the poor, hungry little tanned boy.

Kai snaps his head to Kris who was standing in front of an angry Suho and shouts at him,

"KRIS! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MAKE APPA MAD?! I can't eat chicken like this! I know it's not your style, but have mercy on my stomach!" He whines, holding onto his stomach and making an apologetic face at it.

"What happened to Haneul and D.O anyways? We're all starving..." Xiumin said, sighing while staring at the chicken in envy.

"They're sleeping together." Kris answers with the same words he told Suho, who's still on a rampage.

Junmoney had enough and stomped up the stairs as if his feet were attached to golden bricks from his bank account. He slammed the door open, expecting to see them both laying on the same bed, cuddling, but he saw nothing inappropriate.

From the loud noise, Haneul jumped from her seat and screamed, while D.O sat up from his laying positing with eyes wider than before.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?!" Kyungsoo yelled at Suho.

"Oh, uhm... Continue your sleep, kids~" Suho sang as he closed the door and rushed downstairs before Satansoo caught up to him.

With Kyungsoo's headache all gone, he ran downstairs chasing after Suho. Haneul walked lazily down the stairs, squinting from the bright light.

By the time D.O reached the kitchen, he started having a coughing fit. Chen, who was beside him, patted his back.

"Are you okay D.O?" Chen asked while looking at him worriedly.

"Do I look okay?" Kyungsoo responded between his coughs.

"Obviously not." Chen answered his own question and chuckled while guiding him to a chair on the table and giving him a glass of water.

D.O hastily drank the whole glass of water and breathed in a big amount of air.

"Why didn't you give me a glass of water first?" D.O asked, laying on the table in exhaustion.

"Uh..." Chen hesitated while rubbing his nape, nervously.

"Guys~ Can't we just eat?" Kai whined, hugging the bucket of chicken.

Everybody sat down on a chair and began eating chicken. Every now and then, D.O would cough and Haneul would look at him every time with eyes full of worry. Once everyone finished their food, Kyungsoo volunteered to wash the dishes.

"No, you should get some rest. I'll wash the dishes since no one else wants to..." Haneul said, then turned her head to the others to give a playful glare.

Kyungsoo nodded and started to walk up the stairs

Chanyeol rose his hand up and gave his giant smile. "I'll help Haneul!"

The rest of the members yelled a 'thank you' and ran to the living room. Haneul sighed and looked at he sink full of plates and cups. She turned her head to Chanyeol next, who still had his smile on. Haneul smiled back and they both stood by the sink. She was soaping and washing while he was drying.

"Thank you for taking care of D.O." Chanyeol began, looking straight at Haneul's eyes.

His sincere eyes brought Haneul to smile back at him with a smile matching his.

"Don't worry about it. I really owe him one..."

They continued cleaning and putting away dishes while making small conversations. Each time they made a joke, they smiled and laughed together. Kyungsoo, who was watching them from aside sighed. He felt kind of sad that he wasn't getting attention from Haneul. He easily became jealous over the smallest things. Kyungsoo stared at Chanyeol and Haneul laugh together for a little bit, then turned around to be greeted by Baekhyun's smirking face.

"I sense something going on here Dyororo. Your penguin eyes can't fool me." Baekhyun whispered at him and evilly laugh to himself.

"There's nothing going on." D.O stated, standing on his ground.

Baekhyun put his arm over his shoulders and walked him to the stairs. While making his way there, he spoke,

"D.O, if ever you need a love doctor, I'm always here. If you need a man to show you the ways of love, I'm here. If you need a supporting friend with your decisions, I'm-"

"-not needed at the moment." D.O finished and stopped walking when they both arrived at the bottom of the stairs.

He smiled at Baekhyun and lightly chuckled, trying not to trigger more coughs. "Thanks Baekhyun. It means a lot."

"No problem! The point is, I'm here and not only me, but EXO. Even though we're not aloud to date according to the contract, we'll all be supportive. Remember D.O, w-"

"-we are one, yeah, yeah. Not like I haven't heard that before." Kyungsoo cut him off again and smiled, earning one back from Baekhyun.

He walked up the stairs and into his room. As soon as he entered he started coughing again. He frowned to himself and got ready to go to sleep. Once he finished, he slowly plopped into his bed and tucked himself in.

The day was really long for D.O. Realizing how tired he was, he fell asleep.
