THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
One year ago
Kyungsoo excitedly held the navy blue box inside his coat. He held his scarf closer and sat down at the bench. It was Kyungsoo's and Yeon Ah's first year anniversary from being in a relationship.
Kyungsoo has told Yeon Ah to meet him at the place they first met, the garden. He had two big news to share with her. One, he was finally going to debut and second, he was going to propose his promise ring to her.
Kyungsoo thought about it for a few months and decided that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
Yeon Ah finally walked towards Kyungsoo's nervous body and smiled.
"Kyungsoo!" Yeon Ah yelled as she finally came closer to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
She gave him a quick peck on the cheek and she let go with her bright smile.
"Jagiya, I have some important things to tell you." Kyungsoo said with his soothing voice, spreading his heart smile.
"Me too!" She said, smiling back at him. "You can go can go first." Yeon Ah said, sitting down on the bench beside Kyungsoo.
"I'm finally debuting, Yeon Ah. Do you know what that means? It means that you'd have an even more attractive boyfriend because I'm handsome, I have a good voice and I'll be famous." Kyungsoo said, jokingly.
Yeon Ah laughed and lightly hit him. "What's the other thing you want to tell me?"
Kyungsoo bit his lower lip hesitating, then bent down on one knee. He took out the blue navy box from his jacket and opened it in front of Yeon Ah, who's smile faded. Kyungsoo didn't notice her smile fade, because he was too busy staring at the floor from being nervous.
"Yeon Ah... Will you stay in my life forever by accepting this promise ring?" Kyungsoo asked, finally meeting her eyes to see cold ones.
Kyungsoo's heart seemed to be running a marathon by just looking at the cold eyes of Yeon Ah.
"See, that's the thing Kyungsoo..." She said, closing the box that rested on Kyungsoo's hands.
"I'm breaking up with you." She stated, without a single sign in her eyes. No regret, no sadness.
"Why?" Kyungsoo stood up and said in barely a whisper, but loud enough for her to hear.
"I have another boyfriend... It's simple really. I just love him more than I'll ever love you. I personally think that it was a waste dating you. Your smile annoyed me, your voice is horrible and you're just generally disgusting. It was fun while it lasted, goodbye forever Do Kyungsoo." Yeon Ah finished, then walked away, leaving Kyungsoo there.
Kyungsoo slowly sat on the bench with tears running down his face. He didn't know that everything she did for him was fake. Her feelings were fake, her personality was fake and her smile, the thing he loved the most about her was fake.
Kyungsoo promised himself that he would be more aware and cautious with relationships, that he wouldn't be gullible. I guess you couldn't really blame him... He didn't have friends and he never had a girlfriend. He had no experience what's so ever, but he wondered to himself;
