Only a few moments later, the group gathered in the debriefing room. Brian's handcuffs had been removed by Bilkins and he was seated comfortably in a chair at the center of the room. He patiently waited for someone to explain what the hell was going on.

"Carter Verone. He was born in Argentina, but has lived most of his life in Miami and spent some time in Boston. Now he owns the biggest import-export business in the state. You see, unfortunately, the cartel's have been successful getting drugs into Miami. But they've had a hard time getting the cash out. We've been surveilling him for a year but we've never been able to put him and the money together. We've swept his eyes, his warehouse-"

"And nothing. Customs and MPD here has done a great job at getting us this far. I'm just here to help get them over the top," Agent Bilkins interrupted, ignoring the annoyed look he received from Markham.

"I was able to get an agent undercover working travel and statistics for him. Recently Verone put her in charge of finding some new drivers," Markham said.

"Right, and you can't confirm her status right now," Bilkins pointed out. This peaked Brian's interest.

"What, you think she's flipped?" Brian asked, curiously.

"Monica is one of mine, she's alright," Markham replied defensively, shaking his head. He hated when the staff made those accusations. Monica was a good cop, there's no way she would betray them.

"She's been with Verone nearly a year. Even lives at the compound with him now," Bilkins stated with an unamused expression on his face. He was positive Monica had gone rogue.

"Look, it was the FBI's idea to bring you in here. I'm against it. But we need some good drivers that can put this asshole and his money together," Markham explained to Brian, "You're gonna role with Officer's Dunn and Evans."

Turning to look at his potential co-workers, Brian spotted who he assumed was Dunn, who looked as if he was fresh out of the academy. He then looked to Jessica, whose expression was unreadable.

"And if I don't?" Brian asked, looking back at Bilkins.

"Here's a list of laws that you broke in LA. Obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting, you know the wrap sheet. We can make this all go away in the interest of justice. If you're willing to play ball," Bilkins explained to Brian, handing him a folder that detailed all of his wrongdoings.

Brian flipped through the folder, sighing. He didn't really have a choice here. Either he helps them or goes to prison.

"So what's the idea here?" Brian asked, his voice filled with annoyance. "Dunn, Evans and I are supposed to be street racers? What's our play?"
