"Hazardous"
Chapter 3
Emily's POV
As I stood there replaying in my head what had just happened, I decided that he couldn't force me to do anything, so I just wouldn't go on this 'date' with him, simple, or so I hoped it would be.
I decided to go to bed seeing as my first day had turned out to be pretty tiring. I got changed into my pyjamas and checked my phone before going to sleep. I had one unread message. I opened it and it said
From Jay
"Night Beautiful x"
And yes I had changed the unknown number to "Jay" as I had a feeling he would be texting me quite a lot, whether I liked it or not.
I sighed heavily, turning off my phone before then deciding to switch my bedside lamp off as well. I then began to slowly loose consciousness as I lay in my bed surrounded by the darkness of my bedroom; my head was filled with thoughts of one person, the person who had made my first day turn upside down, Jay.
The next morning I woke up and did the same routine as the day before. I said goodbye to my parents and walked to the bus stop.
Once I arrived at school I was dreading what today had in store. I somehow had to not only deal with the pressures of being the new student partway through a school term but also with Jay and his possessiveness. I had only known the boy a mere 24 hours yet I couldn't stop thinking about those piecing green eyes and his tattooed skin. I should be furious that he decided to "claim" me whatever that means, but I'm more curious as to why everyone is afraid of him. See this is something about me that I don't always like, I tend to try and see the good in everyone. I don't like to simply judge someone from rumours I have heard.
I was brought out of my thoughts abruptly by an arm slung over my shoulder. A strong masculine cologne filled my nostrils and I instantly knew who it was.
"Get away from me Jay" I spat. I was surprised that I had the courage to say that to him, let alone actually sound annoyed.
"Don't be so stubborn Emily" he replied, still with his arm draped over my shoulder.
I sighed whilst shrugging off his shoulder and simply speed walking away. I don't think that he was expecting me to be so confident in rejecting him as I could hear the sound of his friends laughing at him. As I approached the school doors I faintly heard one say "Jay you just got rejected by a girl" followed by the hollering of the other tattooed males obviously amused by what they had just witnessed.
I decided that I would quickly go to my locker to drop off some books I didn't need before class as I had got to school slightly earlier today. I had come up with a plan the night before that although I was drawn to Jay because of this dark demeanour he has, I thought it would be best to just not get involved.
I walked to my first lesson geography. As I walked into the classroom I noticed Leah sat at the back of the room. As soon as she noticed me she called me over to sit next to her.
"Hey Emily" she spoke as I sat down in my seat.
"Hey Leah, you alright?"
As we had a quick chat the bell rung signalling the start of class. I was intently listening to the teacher talking about the different global warming issues when I heard Leah whisper to me
"You haven't spoken or seen Jay since yesterday at lunch have you?"
My face froze when I thought about the events that happened yesterday after school.
