"Have you seen Elly?" I yell from the window.

The old grey haired man doesn't say a word, but glares at me with a confused look.

"Auburn hair, green eyes, cute little freckles on the bridge of her nose, was wearing my sweatshirt. Aka the girl that you tried to steal from" I mumble quickly realizing what I'd said.

"Maybe, I don't know." He shrugs and lays back on the bench.

"Ok, what do you want?"

He turns his head and glares at me.

"Hmm wadya got."

"I've got a fist, and maybe if you tell me I'll have a little money in this deal."

He jumps up from the bench and scurry to the window of the car.

"She came to this bench, but I was here. I told her I could scoot over but she rolled her eyes and walked back the direction she came from. Hey, I do think there's a bus stop near by." He grins, showing his broken smile.

I pull the wallet and pull out a bill.

He looks down at the money and looks up to me, with joy in his eyes.

"Oh thank you! I could never thank you enou-" I drive off before he can say another word.

Where could she be.

She couldn't have got very far. She has no money and no where to go.

I drive a lap around the block and she is no where to be seen.

C'mon Elly, where are you at?

I make my way towards the local taco Bell. On my way there I keep an eye out on the streets, I wouldn't want to miss her.

When I get there I look everywhere.

When I say everywhere I mean everywhere. I even had an old lady look in the woman's restroom.

No where.

I grab two Baja blasts and a couple of tacos and leave.

I mean it's not like she's never going to come back. she left all of her stuff, but she doesn't know when Abigail is going to leave so she might stay out tonight and I don't want her to get hurt.

And it hits me,

The park.

It's a long shot, with the distance but where else could she be?

I rush there, not even touching those tempting tacos setting next to me.

When I pull through the gate I notice a single swing moving in the distance, but she's not alone.

Someone is creeping up behind her.

I quickly push the door open and run towards Elly.

"Elly watch out!" He grabs her by the hair and pulls her off the swing.

She yelps.

"Give me your wallet. Both of you." The masked perpetrator shouts.

"I don't have any money." Elly whispers.

He pulls her her hair again pulling her to the ground.

"My wallet is in the van, I can go get it if-" I say putting my hands in the air.

"Give me your keys." He says, tightening the grip on her hair.

I grab the keys from my back pocket and step forward to give them to them. He pulls Elly and himself towards me.

I take that moment to brush my key along his cheek and punch him in the stomach.

He instantly let's go of Elly's hair.

"Elly, run to the car."

I toss her the keys and get ready to start the second round.

When I turn back around he is running towards the woods nearby.

I pull out my phone and dial 911.

"Hello, 911 what's your emergency?" A young male voice answers.

"A man just assaulted me and my friend at the local park. I roughed him up a little bit and he went running."
