•°Stacy°•

I listened as moms was speaking to us and honestly.. she was right like always. We needed to be making plans whether we were going to put them in action or not. Its like they say..better safe than sorry and I know everything was happening fast but what do you expect when your dealing with this time of shit.

"Moms is right Lauren. I've known O.G. for years and I know how he works. He wants you to be blind sighted by everything he does. I mean look at the way they shot up the house with no warning." I said.

"We dont even know if it was O.G. or Dro. Thats just who we assume!" Lauren said.

"C'mon Lauren.. I know that this is a little bit out of your comfort zone but you cant be this naive girl. I mean if it wasnt them, who else would want us dead?" I asked her.

"I dont know.. it could be Cedric the crooked ass cop." She responded.

"Really?.. Cedric. That nigga aint got the balls to pull the type of shit that these niggas are doing." I explained to her.

She was quiet.

"Sorry Low.. but Stacy is right. I've heard of the way those brothers handle business. Which is one of the reasons why I sought out to be apart of their team. Their name holds a lot of weight in the surburbs and the slums." Rico added.

Lauren didnt say much as she thought about everything we were telling her. I hated to see my friend in shambles because of some shit I got us into..

"So whats it going to be?" My mother asked interrupting my thoughts.

"Do we have a choice?" I responded.

She shook her head.

"It is what it is then.. We got ourselves into this shit, now its time to get ourselves out of it."

We all nodded. Moms informed us on some more information before we all exiting the building and walked to our cars.

"You're going to be okay Lauren." I said as I walked out the building beside her.

"You sure are baby. I'll let you in on a little secret, I was exactly the same way when I use to work with my ex-husband.. but when that adriline gets to going.. you'll be pulling the trigger with ease. You wont think twice about it." My mother said to her.

She smiled and nodded her head.

"Now Ima let yall go on home. If you need me just call." Moms said to us before she got in her car.

"Okay and dont you answer anymore restricted calls." I yelled to her while pointing my finger in her direction.

She smiled and backed out the parking lot, driving off down the road.

All four of us stood there in the parking lot.

"So I guess we're gangsters now.." Lauren said.

"Nah.. We aint nothing like them. We just protecting our fam." Evan responded.

"Fasho." Rico added.

"I know one thing tho, these niggas got some balls to be calling moms phone and shit." Evan added.

"Right. I get what you said Low about not knowing if its Dro or O.G. " I said to Lauren.

"See what I'm saying. Isnt O.G. suppose to be locked up anyways." Lauren explained.

"O.G. got a lot of pull in and out of jail. He knows how to play the system and wuth the people he knows.. he might be out at this very moment. Its some crooked ass cops in this city man." Rico informed us.

"We gotta do what we gotta do yall.. like moms said. They made their move on the board.. now its our turn." I said to them.

They nodded.

"Aight man.. We need to get a move on now cause sitting here aint gone get us nowhere and neither is talking about it." Evan said as he headed to the drivers side of the car.

"Rico.. let Lauren ride with me." I said as I looked at her. I needed to restore some peace into my friend's mind because right now she seemed so uneasy about this whole situation.

"Aight then. We'll meet yall at the house." Rico said as he got in the car with Evan.

I nodded as Lauren got in the car with me and put on her seatbelt as we backed out.

"You aight forreal Lauren?" I asked her.

"Somewhat.. I mean you know I've never really been into a situation like this before. I'm one of those silver spoon feed girls. I've had it easy, you know.. not having to work because of the funds my parents set aside for me and obtaining a huge lump of cash when my grandmother died so this is all new to me. I didnt have to rob and kill and lawd know I dont know how to shoot a gun forreal. I barely knew what I was doing when Rico handed me the gun in that warehouse.."

"But you shot it right?"

"Yeah but I wasnt even aiming. I dont even think I hit anyone honestly."

"Youre overthinking it Lauren. You never know what youre capable of until thats youre only choice."

"Youre right.."

"I know youre like if Stacy wouldve left O.G. when I told her to we wouldnt be in this shit right now."

"Nah.. you cant help who you love Stace. Its easy for people to say leave somebody alone but its never easy when you've but so much into that one person."

"I shouldve known to leave O.G. tho. I put up with a lot of shit.. even when I heard about what he did to his last bitch.. I still stayed. Funny how you catch all the signs when its too late to act on them."

"Aint that the truth."

"Yup.. but when you learn better you do better. Like I learned to never trust a man you meet at a gas station."

We both started laughing.

"Right! Never again." Lauren agreed.

"But seriously tho Low.. everything is going to be alright and you dont have to worry about shooting. Im sure Evan can teach you everything you need to know." I said to her.

"Youre right."

"Now.. lets go shopping for some new gear." I said to her as I kept driving.

"Alright but first lets stop by the house and see if Mrs. Watson saw anything from last night."

"Good idea." I said as I pulled into the turning lane heading in the direction of Lauren's house.
