Evan and I made it back to the hotel for the night.

"What a day.." I said as I layed across the bed.

"Tell me about it." Evan responded as he pulled his shirt over his head.

"It feels so weird spending the whole day without my little nugget attached to my hip."

"Yeah, Im starting to miss her wrapping her arms and legs around my leg and holding on for dear life as I walked around the house."

I laughed.

"Thats it, Im about to call them." I said as I got up and grabbed my phone from the table.

I dialed my mothers number and waited for her to answer.

"Hello."

"Hey mama, How you doing?"

" Im fine baby, dont try to make small conversation with me. I know who you really called for." She said as she laughed.

I chuckled along with her.

"Hows my princess?"

"She doing good. Tearing up the house but she's alright."

"Good. I dont hear her in the background, where is she?"

"Your father took her outside in the backyard. He done went and bought this playground set and she's out there in the playpen watching as he puts it together."

"A playground set mama?"

"Hey, it was his idea. I told him that baby was too small for that but he wont listen to me. Like he said, this my money and Ima do what the hell I want with it.. which is spend it on my only granddaughter."

"She got him wrapped around her little finger and dont even know it yet."

"She does."

"Well, Ima let yall get back to doing what your doing."

"Okay baby and dont worry, she's in good hands."

"I know that." I responded as I laughed.

"Alright baby, see you later. Tell Evan I said hello."

"Okay mama, I love you."

"Love you too."

We hung up.

"How she doing?" Evan asked as I placed the phone on the side table.

"She's doing good. Oh and mama said hey." I responded as I crawled up next to him.

"Im kind of glad she's not around all of this mess." I said as I thought aloud.

"Yeah, me too baby. I think we'd really turn this shit to afghanistan with no problem."

I smiled as I listened to him talk about our little family.

"Plus we get to have some time to ourselves." I cooed as I rubbed on his bare chest.

He smiled as he quickly got aroused from the feeling of my fingers running across his body.

"Why you always trying to seduce me woman?"

I laughed aloud.

"Really Evan?"

"Yes. I feel so violated." He responded being sarcastic as he tried to cover his chest.

I stared at him as he continued playing this little game.

"Stop looking at me like Im a piece of meat now."

"Man you play all day." I said as I threw a pillow at him.

He laughed.

"Now I want you to remember that when you try to get yours. Im not a piece of meat Evan." I marked as I got up from the bed.

He charged me with the quickness and we both fell to the floor.

"You think you finna blue ball me woman? Oh hell naw." He said as he ripped my shirt open.

"Evan get off me man." I managed to say through my laughter. "Ima teach yo ass a lesson."

Everything I was saying to Evan went in one ear and out the other as he hovered above me, pinning me to the floor by my hands as he nibbled on my neck, my chest and on my stomach.

I was so into playing this game with Evan that I almost didnt hear my phone ringing on the side table by the bed.

"Evan my phone is ringing." I said from under him.

"So, let it ring."

"Evan!"

"Let it go to voicemail bae."

"It might be important. Let me up."

He gave me a frown before he let my hands go.

"Make it quick. We cant wait all night." He informed me as he grabed his package.

I jumped on the bed laying on my stomach as I grabbed the phone from the table to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Wassup Lauren."

"Marcus! Hey! How you been?"

"Im making it. I had to call you cause I havent heard from you in a few days."

"Oh Im sorry Marcus, its a lot going on."

"You aight?"

"Yeah.. yeah.."

"Lauren.. I've known you long enough to know when youre lying."

My end was silent.

"Lauren?"

"Yeah, Im here. Its just a long story. I cant tell you right now."

"Aight.. Hows my baby?"

"She's doing good. Growing up so fast."

"I know.. Im missing it all man."

"It wont be long until youre out. Then she can spend time with you and give me a break."

"Fa'sho. Moms aint call you to try and get her?"

"Nah, I havent heard from your moms in awhile. I'll have to call her and set up something."

"Yeah, she'd love that."

There was a moment of silence on both ends.

"So how long do you have left?"

"Few months."

"Seemed to go by fast."

"To you but to me, it feels like Ive been in here for decades."

"It'll all be over soon." I responded trying to give him hope.

"I know and the first thing I want to do when I get out is take a good hot shower and then come find you so I can hug my daughter for the first time."

"You aint got to look too hard for me. Im still in the same place."

"Yea but you aint home. I called the house phone and its disconnected. Thats why I called the cellphone."

I was silent again.

"Is there something you need to tell me Lauren?"

"Huh? Nah.."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Marcus."

He paused for a minute.

"Well let me ask you..is it true what I hear?"

"About what?"

"Word is out that Stacy, her brother, some dude name Rico and you are on the top of Omar and OG's hit list..."
