"So what you think we should do?" I asked them after I ran down the whole conversation that took place between Omar and I.

They thought about it before they spoke.

We began to talk about some plans that we could put into action. Disagreeing on some and agreeing on others.

"What about Cedric?" Lauren asked.

"Let him in. He can be an advantage to us."

"Are you sure?" She asked Evan.

"Yeah. If he gets wrong, he's dead."

"Everybody know the plan?" He asked?

We all looked around the room at each other and agreed.

The next morning, I rolled over in an empty bed. I sat up and looked around for Rico. Getting out the bed to walk around the house in search for him.

Just when I was about to call his phone. I saw the text he had sent.

Rico: Went to go check on Avery and Michelle. They got into some shit back at the house. I'll call you when I find out whats going on.

I texted him back to let him know I got his message.

I went into the bathroom to tend to the usual morning rituals. I got out the shower and dressed in some jeans and a tshirt.

I called up Lauren so that we could meet up at the mall to do a little shopping.

She agreed and I left the house to meet her there.

We parked beside eachother and got out.

"Gurl, when I tell you I need a little retail theropy.." I said as I locked the car.

"You aint the only one. Plus Evan bout done ripped up everything I own."

"Eww bitch, I dont wanna hear about you and my flabby neck ass brother."

She laughed.

"Whatever. Shid I know you and Rico messing up sheets."

"Chile.. It aint the same as it use to be."

"It aint the same?"

"Its like, that first time had a bitch weak but now its... ehh.."

"Damn bitch, maybe you need to teach him some."

"Im trying man. I guess Im just use to someone else being in control."

"Dont tell me you missing O.G.'s dick."

I stopped walking as we reached the entrance of a shoe store.

"I hate to say it.. but yeah." I confessed.

She dropped her head.

"Dont judge me man, you gotta understand Ive been riding one dick for years! Now I got me a new one and I gotta get use to it."

"I aint judging you. It just caught me off guard." I said as we started back walking.

"I dont know Low. I feel so bad."

"He is young Stace. You gotta teach him some things. Rico is a good guy. Plus you can teach things like that but You cant raise a man."

"Right."

"Try some kinky shit bitch. Evan and I tried some hot oil and oh my goodness! "

I laughed.

"Hey dont knock it till you try it." She said.

We laughed.

Lauren and I began shopping up a storm, picking almost everything that caught our eye.

We sat down at a table with our bags as we ate a little food.

"So what you think about this plan that we laid out." She asked.

"It is what it is. It needs to be handled and we just gotta do what we gotta do."

"Really Stace? You sound like Evan."

"I dont know whether to take that as a compliment or insult." I said laughing.

"How do you really feel about it."

"Im nervous but its either us or them, you know."

She nodded.

"Hey Stace." I heard someone say from a distance.

I looked back to see who it was.

"Nia. wassup girl."

"Nothing much."

Nia was a friend from work. Everytime she would see me she would come with some messy shit about other people's business, so I tried to avoid her.

"This is Nia, Lauren. She is one of the accountants from work."

They exchanged greetings.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Shopping with my girl." I responded stating the obvious.

"Oh okay. When I saw you I just had to speak."

"Oh okay."

"Did you hear about Omar and Dro?"

"Naw wassup?"

"Well word on the street is, its about to go down. Ever since OG was set up, him and his brother have been on a revenge streak to find out who set them up."

"Oh really." I responded looking at Lauren.

"Yes girl. Everybody's watching their backs now. Rumor also has it that his ex girlfriend's brother is on the top of the list and will probably be the first to go..theyre out for everybody and their mama.. but you didnt hear that from me." She finished before she walked away.

Lauren and I looked at eachother.

"If that wasnt a sure enough sign for us to get it crackin then I dont know what is." I said to Lauren.

"You damn right. If we wait any longer, it'll be too late."

"Right. C'mon girl, we gotta tell Evan them."

We got up and grabbed our bags, walking swiftly to the exit. We got into our seperate cars, making plans to meet up at my house before we pulled out the parking lot and went our seperate ways.

I pulled off and called up Rico informing him on our plans tonight. He agreed to be there. After I got off the phone with Rico. I did what I havent done in forever. I called up Cedric.

"Hello."

"Cedric."

"Stacy. Its good to hear your voice."

"Look Cedric. We're all meeting up at my house for dinner. Youre invited."

"Okay. Okay."

"Dont be late. Party starts at 10:00 on the dot."

"Aight. I'll be there."

We hung up the phone.

My mind was in a million places as I thought about the situation we were in. I finally understand the anxiety that Lauren felt. Its a whole diffrent story when youre talking about doing something versus actually doing it.. but the time was upon us.

Like they say "Its either eat or be eaten.." or in our cases "Its either Kill or be killed."
