A voice shouts (more like screams) at us to get up, and I groan.
Shouting. Great.
I hold my hand to my head as I sit up, and I automatically notice Jay, laid beside me, still asleep.
How does he do it?
I sigh; I have to wake him up.
Shaking his arm does absolutely nothing, so I decide to take a different route.
Getting really close to his ear, I whisper, 'Jay...' But he doesn't budge, so I instead lick his ear.
His eyes are torn open, and he looks at me in horror while holding his ear. 'What are you doing?'
Laughing, I reply, 'We have to get up.'
'Did you just...' He pauses, 'Lick my ear?'
'Yeah...' I say, as if it was the normal thing to do.
Which it was. Right?
'Just wake me up like a normal person - shake me, call my name, I don't know.' Jay exclaims, still wide eyed.
'I did!' I reply, 'What was I supposed to do? You wouldn't wake up.'
I give him the best cute face I can muster: puppy eyes, bowed head; even a little sniffling.
Jay laughs, pulling me to his chest, arms tightly wrapped around me, 'Lana... I know your pretending.' He teases, lifting my chin up and looking into my eyes. 'It's just funny - you licked my ear for god's sake.'
He chuckles before looking around, 'Oops. We better get ready.'
I too look around, and my eyes latch onto a figure in the doorway. I catch his eyes and as I open my mouth to say something - an explanation, an apology, anything; he turns away. Away from me. The room; the others: away from us all.
I get dressed, washed and then wait for Jay to finish. Once he's done, he tells me we have to head to the train tracks; that was what Four had said, who was apparently in the room at the time, while I was in 'some sort of daze.'
So we head to the tracks, and after a while, everyone stands around us. Eric and Four stand before us, then Eric begins to speak.
'I'm sure you're all wondering why we're at the train tracks in the middle of the night,' Eric says, and people nod, excluding Jay and I.
'Dauntless Games,' Four offers, exactly what Jay had said earlier, 'We're going to play Capture The Flag.'
A few people woop, presumably Dauntlessborns, and Eric smirks. 'For all of our Dauntlessborns, the concept should be a piece of cake,' Four purses his lips, and Eric continues, 'And to all of our... Transfers, well, here you are.'
Four steps forward, 'There will be two teams: Eric and I's,' He looks around the group, 'You all will be put into said teams, and follow your group leader to the destination of your choice.'
'Your flag,' Eric stars, 'Will be put at said destination, and your team will think of a plan to capture the other team's flag and or protect your own in the process.'
'This choice will entirely decided by the team, and not the group leaders,' Four points to himself and Eric, 'As we cannot assist in the decision making, tactics, etcetera.'
