Darkness {Young Justice}

Chapter 23

Flame watched Darkness' every move. Darkness didn't blame him, if she was in his shoes she would probably be doing the same thing. "Some clothes are inside the bag for you as well." He didn't say anything but looked inside the bag. He took a shirt and jeans and went upstairs to change. He had black spiky hair with red on the tips, his eyes were dark brown and he was maybe an inch taller than Sparrow. When he left the room Darkness turned to the others and said, "Is he joining?"

"He wants to take the agency down, but he doesn't know if you are trustworthy," Sparrow said to Darkness and she nodded. She understood Flame's feelings. Can't be too careful. Darkness did knock him out and basically kidnapped him even if it was to free him. "Don't worry he'll trust you eventually."

"It's okay." Darkness said. "Besides it's better if he trusts his instincts and if his instincts tell him to be wary of me then he can be. It doesn't bother me. I mean we were all trained not to trust someone so easily."

"So..." Sibyl said, "What's our first job? I mean what's the first step for taking down the agency?"

"We wait." Darkness said.

"Wait!" Sibyl yelled. "I don't want to wait! I want revenge for what they did to me... What they did to everyone!"

"We have to be patient. We don't even know where the agency is." Darkness said in a calm voice. "The agency likes to move a lot especially since they know I'm around. They won't feel safe so we need to come up with an idea to make them feel safe. and when they do we attack them when they are vulnerable."

"But how are we going to do that?" Sparrow asked.

"I don't know." Darkness admitted to them. "That's why we need to wait and come with a plan."

"I have one." Darkness and the others looked at Flame, who was walking down the stairs.

"Well?" Sibyl asked.

"Darkness can film us and pretend to kill us and when she pretends to attack an agent one of us could pretend to kill her, but not before taking her 'dead' body. The agent will tell the Director what they saw and then he'll feel safe and will stop moving the agency." Flame said with a little smirk placed on his face.

"That plan sounds really complicated," Sibyl said to him and his smirk slowly turned to a small frown.

Darkness began to think of all the things they would need to do his plan. Yes, his plan was a bit complicated, but it might work. "Actually I think it's a good plan." As the words left Darkness' mouth Flame smirk reappeared on his face.

"But can we really pull it off though?" Sibyl asked. "And wouldn't it cost a lot of money to get everything we need. I don't want to waste any more of your money and I know the others don't want to either."

"Don't worry I have more than enough money and besides this is to take down the agency. There no amount of money in the world I wouldn't waste to make the Director and Counselor pay for what they did to everyone." Darkness said.

"If you're sure about it," Sibyl said.

"I'm more than sure." Darkness said. "Now, do you want a tour of the mansion or do you just want to explore on your own?"

"I'm going to stay here," Sparrow said.

"Me too!" Flame said as he sat next to Sparrow.

"Lead the way!" Sibyl said excitedly as she grabbed her guitar case. Darkness grabbed Sibyl's bags and lead Sibyl to her room to put her new stuff away.

The Counselor looked at the three teams that had lost one of their friends on the current mission. She was unsure if the three agents were dead, but it was a possibility. 'Darkness...' The Counselor thought. 'The Director will find you soon and you'll be back with your family.'

"Tell us what happened!" Agent Scarlet yelled. She wanted to know what happened to Sparrow. He was one of her teammates and they both had been through hell.

"You have no authority to yell at me!" The Counselor yelled at Scarlet. "Do you want me to show you what happens to agents who misbehave?"

Scarlet stiffen, she knew she was going to be in dangerous waters if she continued to fight with the Counselor. She didn't know where her courage came from it just happened. "No." She said in a soft and low voice.

"Good." The Counselor said. "The Director believes that Darkness killed all three of them. Their trackers stopped working so there are two possibilities. One is that Darkness had killed the agents and took the bodies or she took off their trackers for information."

"What does this have to do with us?" Agent Blaze asked. Flame and Blaze are like brothers and he's worried sick for his brother like a friend, but he didn't want to show weakness in front of the counselor and the other agents. Flame and Blaze both amazing agents. Their other teammates were killed either on missions or they didn't survive the training.

"I want you and Scarlet to find Darkness and bring her back." The Counselor said to them.

"Do you want her back dead or alive?" Blaze asked. He wanted revenge on Darkness for possibly killing Flame.

"Alive, but it wouldn't hurt if she came back bruised." The Counselor said and Blaze smirked. "You may go now. Blaze stay here I'm not done with you yet." Blaze nodded and Scarlet and the other agents left the room.

"What is this about?" Blaze asked.

"When you bring back Darkness make sure to kill Scarlet." The Counselor said.

Blaze kept a cool demeanor when she finished her sentence. He didn't want to kill Scarlet, but he had no choice. Either he kills Scarlet or both of them die. "Okay."

"You may go." The Counselor said to him. He nodded and left the room. 'Can I really kill Scarlet in cold blood? We are somewhat good friends and I don't want to kill her. Why does the Counselor want her dead anyway? What did she do to deserve to die?' Blaze thought as he imagined how he would have to do it and hoped that someone will kill her before he had to. He didn't want her blood on his hands, but if it came to it he would have to kill her. All he wanted was to know that Flame was alive and well. Was it too much to ask for?
