20: There Is A Girl

This is probably the best poem that I've written yet. It's from a different perspective, so it's a change to my usual poems. I based it on my friend finding out that I cut, and what she's probably thinking.

There is a girl inside my class
Who's always happy
Who always laughs.

She cheers people up,
When they're feeling down.
She makes people feel,
Like they're wearing a crown.

She doesn't get in with the wrong group.
She stands up to the bullies.
She encourages the victims
To not wear their hoodies.

To show their face with pride.
To not stay on the side.
To be strong.
To always fix what is wrong.

But what I learned not long ago,
Is that the girl isn't what she seems,
She has a deep secret,
Hidden beneath her sleeves.

She cuts her legs.
Occasionally her arms.
She's always there for others.
But no one has helped her with her self harm.

She cries at night.
She wants to die.
She's tired of the fight,
Going on inside her mind.

I'm happy I found out.
I want to help her.
I want to give her the love,
That she gives to others.

I want to give her the love,That she gives to others
