I wrote this as well, and it's one of my favourite ones to be honest!
Yes, I laugh.
I laugh every day.
But I only do it,
To keep the tears away.
The words scar me,
More than you may ever know.
It makes me ponder every night,
If I'll ever see tomorrow.
I may be the happiest in the class,
But you don't know anything about my future, my present, or my past.
You say stick and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt me.
But your words tear my skin apart.
Your words make me cry every night.
I cry and I cry,
But never in sight.
But when I get back to school,
I laugh again.
Yes, I laugh.
I laugh every day.
But I only do it,
To keep the tears away.
