Maybe life isn't as great as it appears to be. The happiest person in your class, might also be the saddest...

Please take the time to read this, because it's really sentimental, and it's really sweet. I wrote this, and I'm really proud of myself for writing this, and I think it's the best thing that I've posted in this book.
Never say that someone shouldn't be upset, Just because "other people have it worse". Everybody on Earth has demons, And no one should face them alone. So if anyone ever tells you that they're upset, That they're sad, That they're feeling down, That they're depressed, You help that person. You help that person until they get better. Don't dismiss it and say, "You'll get over it" Or say sorry then change the subject, Because that person trusted you. That person trusted you enough to open up to you. So do not break that trust. Be there for them. Help them. Care for them. Love them. Because no matter how happy that person may seem, They might be dying on the inside.
And if someone shows you their cuts, Pull them into a big hug, And don't let go. Let them know that you care. Let them know that they deserve your trust. Let them know that you love them. Never put them down because of it. Do not threaten to tell someone, Do not make them promise to not cut, Do not get angry at them, Just love them. Let them know that somebody is there. Let them know that somebody cares. Let them know that they have someone to lean on. You be that person. And never out a person down on how deep their cuts are. Saying "It's just a scratch." Is one of the worst things to do. Saying that could make them cut deeper, Increasing the chances of them bleeding to death. Because no matter how deep the cut is, If a person hates themselves that much, That they have to put a blade to their skin, To punish themselves, Or take the emotional pain away, Then they need someone to love them. They need a friend. And you can be that friend. Please be that friend. Because some people really need a friend. They need a friend who's loving, Who's caring, Who's just there, But the sad truth is. Not everybody has that friend. Not everybody, Has anybody.
