Maybe life isn't as great as it appears to be. The happiest person in your class, might also be the saddest...

This poem will be about the colour red, and what it means to me. I wrote this in a poetry workshop in school, so it is mine, so please give credit if used :)
Red.
It's the colour of the blood that drips from your skin,
When you use your blade to cut deep within.
It's the colour you feel when no one understands you.
The plastered on fake smile.
The real one has been gone now for quite a while.
Summer's here now all you wear are long sleeves.
'Cause those scars on wrists are bleeding through you see.
You look around, why is everyone so perfect?
And lately you've been feeling so worthless.
Now the red is back,
It's flowing through your head.
You tell your friends that life's fine,
But inside your dying instead.
You promise yourself that you won't cut.
You're tired of seeing red.
You see that people care.
Unlike the voices inside your head.
The red is fading away now,
It's turning into a cheery pink.
You're feeling better now,
"No more cutting", you think.
The next day, you're feeling better than the day before,
You even cracked a couple smiles as you walked the corridor.
Now the red's gone,
So are the demons in your mind.
The pink's there and it make you feel just fine
The pink makes you smile,
The real one's back now.
You're glad since it was gone for quite a while.
You walk into class and all those feeling seem to crash.
You fell over and everyone seemed to point and laugh.
You bunked the next class and ran home to your bathroom.
Thinking to yourself,
You wouldn't break a promise that soon.

The blood just started dripping from the tub to the floor.
Your mum walks in and falls down to the floor,
Now nothing can take back what she just saw.
The little girl that she raised is just lying there,
She looks around and there's blood everywhere.
