Chapter 23: Paris - Everlasting Love

Third Person's POV:

The Night of June 24, 20XX

When Asuna and Kazuto arrive back to the hotel, they were soaked from head to toe, due to a late night shower. There the couple decided to take a bath before calling it a night.

Kazuto suggested Asuna to go in first, but Asuna felt it wouldn't be fair if Kazuto caught a cold while she was soaking in the warm bath. She slowly gripped onto the sleeve of his suit and says, "How about we bathe together?" she blushed. "I mean, we're engaged now," she says as she smiles at the ring, "and we've seen each other naked before." she added.

It was now Kazuto's turn to blush, "Well if you're okay with it then ... okay." Kazuto made one last suggestion, "How about you head in first, you know, to wash her hair and once you're done, head right into the bath. Then, I'll come in."

Asuna pouted, "That kind of defeats the purpose, in bathing together. Just don't take too long." She then peaks him on the cheek, "I'll give you five minutes and you're coming in whether I'm in the bath or not. I'll drag you in if I have too." she said as Kazuto nervously smiled before Asuna closed the bathroom door.

Once Kazuto went to get his clothes, his hand trembled before touching the knob. His heart was pounding crazy. He then gathered all the courage he had and opened the door. It's nothing that I haven't seen before, he reminded himself. When Kazuto opened the door, he didn't see Asuna, so she must've gone into the bath, he thought. He then undressed himself and wrapped a towel around his waist. He walked to the thin plastic glass door of the bath and knocked on it. Asuna turned to the sound and said, "Come in."

As Kazuto opened the door, the scenery reminded him of their time at the resort and when they first shared a bath together. However, this time, Asuna was completely submerged, naked, without a towel insight. Kazuto, using all of his will power, fought the urge to stare at his lovely naked fiancé; stepped into the bath and sat the opposite sides of the bath from her.

There was silence in the bath as the couple were both conscious of the other. Asuna decided to took the initiative to move closer to Kazuto and once he saw what she was doing, Kazuto also took initiative to meet her half way. Once the shy couple sat closer to each other, Kazuto slowly extended his hand to reach for hers. Asuna blushed and softly smiled as they intertwined their hands together.

Asuna embarrassingly admitted to herself that she wanted be more intimate with Kazuto, especially during this trip. A couple in the city of Paris, the city of love. Putting two and two together was no brainer. However, Asuna did not expect today out of all times that Kazuto was going to propose to her. Her heart hadn't stop pounding since then. She was truly happy and cared deeply for Kazuto. All Asuna wanted at this very moment was to be with him and maybe even tease him.

Just to liven up the atmosphere, she calls out to him and as he listens intently to her. Twiddling her thumbs nervously she asked, "May I wash your back?" Kazuto surprised and shocked to hear Asuna ask him that. Kazuto quickly responds with a nervous nod as he turns, facing away from Asuna, as she prepares to wash his back.

I never noticed this before, she thought to herself. And so wide, she thought. Not realizing just how big and wide his shoulders were. Asuna then caught herself blushing at how attractive his back was and continued on washing his back with a washcloth. As she also took some time gliding her fingertips, gently, across his back.
