Chapter 26: Asuna and Kirito - America

Third Person's POV:

September 1, 20XX

Kazuto and Asuna safely landed at the airport. Since this wasn't their first trip arriving in a foreign country, Asuna and Kazuto didn't have as much trouble finding the exits. The couple were also thankful with the help of Shouzou for shipping their belongings to the apartment the same day. The couple held hands due to the large crowds. Following the signs and map of the airport. Asuna and Kazuto were able to meet up with their land lords. The Land Lords were a happy middle aged married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart. The married couple were once students – alumni from the college and they wanted to give a home to the students who commuted to the university. After a quick exchange of warm greetings. The four of them left the airport and drove to the apartments.

The apartment was within walking distance from the campus. The building as a whole was fairly decent and rent was within their budget. There were two floors, but most of the residences lived on the second floor. As the first floor served as the main lobby and laundry room.

The rooms on the second floor were roughly the same layout. As the residence entered through the front door, they saw the living room that connected to the kitchen. To the right of the living room, lied the bedroom that could be used as a one to two shared bedroom. That also included a private bathroom with toilet, sink, vanity, and shower.

Once the couple moved into their new home, Asuna looked around the rooms and thought to herself, 'It wasn't perfect, but it was theirs. A temporary home, away from home' she smiled. Kazuto came from behind and hugged her. Asuna happily blushed and turned to face him. "Sorry that this isn't ideal." he said. Asuna shake her head, "It's fine. I don't care where we live, as long it's with you." Then the two, leaned in for a sweet tender kiss. Afterwards, they slowly unpacked their belongings and began to familiarize themselves in their new home.

September 6, 20XX

Today was a bright and warm sunny day as the couple were about to head out on their first day of college. Kazuto was washing the dishes from breakfast as Asuna was packing the two of them their lunches.

"There." Asuna said with great pride. Kazuto quickly dries off his hands and then sneaks up behind her. He hugs Asuna then kisses her on the cheek. "Thanks for making lunch Asuna." He said. Asuna smiled, "Your welcome. I even made my Special Asuna Sandwiches." she winked. Kazuto's eyes immediately gleamed with joy as Asuna stifled her laughter. "Come on," she said as she handed him his lunch. "Let's go, or we'll be late." she said as she linked arms with him.

On their walk to the university, the couple walked together hand in hand. Enjoying the beautiful day. "What's your first class?" Asuna asked.

"It's one of my Mechatronic classes. You?"

"I have a Gen Ed class. You're lucky, I still don't know what I want to do yet."

Kazuto, lightly, tighten his grip to comfort her. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll find it and I'll always support you no matter what." He told her in soft and warm tone.

"Thank you Kirito." she smiled.

As they reached further into the campus building, Kazuto walked Asuna to her class room where they would part ways. "I'll see in the next class, okay." He waved.

"Yeah, it's another Gen Ed. I'm glad that we're in the same class." she smiled. "Now remember, it's in the next building over, so don't get lost." she teased as Kazuto smiled sheepishly.

Kazuto's POV:

Since it was the first day of class, there really wasn't much to do. In my Mechatronics class, they were at least 12 students currently enrolled. However, only seven of them showed up, lucky them I guess.
