Shadows to Stages

Dear diary,

Yesterday.... I don't really remember yesterday. All I remember is Sasha kissing Scott, it raining and nearly dying of the freezing cold rain. I woke up and my Mam, Maya and Abigail and my Dad were around me. I haven't seen my Dad in years and it's the perfect thing to wake up to. I hugged him and mam came and joined, Mam and Dad seemed to be talking again which was really exciting and hopefully a start to our new family. Both Maya And Abigail came and hugged me even tighter than my parents. I love these girls. Abigail said 'What happened yesterday, you wouldn't reply to any of our texts.' I said trying to hold back my tears 'Sasha kissed Scott.' 'What's so bad about that?' Maya said. Abigail hit her arm. 'He didn't pull away.' I said. They both looked at me, there mouths wide open. 'He's horrible, all he did to you these last few days and now you're in hospital because of him.' Maya said 'I'm going to give him a peace of my mind today at school.' 'Yeah I'll help you Maya, I got your back girl.' Abigail said patting Maya on the back. 'Honey we have to go to work now but we will both be back later on.' Mam and Dad both walked out and went to work. 'Abigail you stay with Bella, I'm going to give Scott a piece of my mind for what he did.' 'Can I not come, I'll video it and we will bring it for her to watch.' Abigail said. I said 'That's a perfect idea. You guys go ahead, I'll see you later, bring me that video.'

It was later on and no one had come back. I suddenly heard laughter coming up the hall. I knew it was Abigail and Maya. The ran in and said 'We got the video. OMG Maya was on fire. You should have seen her.'  'Then show me the video.' 'I said, I've been waiting patiently.' It was amazing. It went like this: M Hey you. Scott. I have words. S Hey what's up Maya, have you seen Bella anywhere. M Are you serious. Oh I don't know if you heard but she's in hospital. See what happened was Sasha kissed you, you didn't pull away, she ran off, and nearly died because she ran away and was in the rain at the skate park. Thats all your fault. She's your girlfriend. S What, Sasha kissed me, I didn't kiss her. M Yeah but you didn't pull away. You know you're a terrible person and boyfriend, you have lost such an important person, so enjoy, your time without her.
The next thing she did was hysterical. M Oh did you see the lunch menu today, it's your favourite, spaghetti. She dropped it on his head. M Oh I don't think desert will hurt. I know you love cake with frosting. She shoved it in his face! M Oh and I never forget the sprinkles. Now back off, Bella,she doesn't deserve a mess like you.

I was so proud of her and so thankful. She felt good about it. I said 'What did he look like?' Maya said 'He looked like a cake tin exploded, but they still tried to decorate the cake. We all hugged and were laughing so hard it hurt even more. Then my parents came back from work. Mam said 'You three seem to be having a great time without us.' 'Yeah, it's all thanks to Maya, show them.' I said still laughing. 'What?' Maya went up and showed my parents the video. They were laughing as well. I was shocked, I thought they were going to be mad at us. I said 'You're not mad? They both looked at me. 'No, he got what he deserved for hurting you.' I was so happy they weren't mad. I felt a lot better but not fully healed. I really hope me being in hospital won't risk my chances at internationals. 'Hey girls. Before you go can you guys tell Mrs I'm going to internationals and my solo, I don't want her giving my solo to anyone else. It's the first thing you do when you get to school tomorrow. Okay?' I said. They both looked back at me and smiled 'Sure, we promise.' We all pinky promised each other and laughed.

They had left. Mam and Dad stayed. I kept saying that they could go home but as always they refused. We were talking about our family as it stands. It was interesting but kinda boring. Mam was blabbing about how we used to be and Dad sat there nodding and agreeing with her. Mam said 'Bella, we have some news. Me and your Dad are.....getting back together.' I was interested now. 'I'm a different person now, and I thought about how amazing life was with your Dad, so we got back to talking and here we are.' I had no idea what to say. But I didn't care, I have my family back. I'm so happy. This day just keeps getting better. Or so I thought. What Mam said next ruined everything. I can't believe she's doing this to me.
