Shadows to Stages

Dear diary,

Today was probably the worst day of my life. I was walking into school and everyone was looking at me, oddly. I haven't been out of school so I don't know what the gossip was about. I went to my locker and saw posters. Posters of me and Scott dancing in the auditorium. There was writing all over them saying 'He invited her to be humiliated' and 'he doesn't have feelings for you'. They were all around the school but there was much worse. I heard loads of commotion down the hall and everyone was crowded around the big screen which gave announcements sometimes. It was Sasha and Amelia. They were talking about me. Scott came and saw what was happening, everyone was laughing and pointing. I felt.......empty. I felt the same way as I felt when I first came. I wanted to slowly disappear from life. Abigail and Maya came and watched with Scott. Scott was furious. He found the cable and yanked it out. The screen went black. Everyone was crying 'Dude c'mon plug it in again.' Scott stood up and said 'That's my girlfriend you're all laughing at. You all don't know anything about her because you are all busy bullying her, so all of you back off or you can face me. Alright?' He got down and the crowd broke down the middle and he , Abigail and Maya walked down. We all put our arms over each other's shoulders and walked down the hall. I'm blessed to have Scott as a boyfriend and Maya and Abigail as friends.

I went to the room where ballet was held. Nobody else was there which was good. I wanted to be alone. I always think dance solves anything or any problems you have. It calms me. I portray my feelings through dance. I had always loved dancing with point shoes but I don't dance in them regularly because they damage toes and feet and stuff so I don't dance in the often. I had practiced this solo in my point shoes ( see above). It fits exactly how I felt at that moment. Sasha had no right to do that. All because Mrs Williams picked me to win our dance battle. I won fair and square, if she won I wouldn't create a video and put pictures up of her and write mean and hurtful things. That's just low. As I was dancing Abigail and Maya came by looking for me. They came in and sat down. I continued dancing and I was nearing the end. I finished on the floor and started crying. They came over and were hugging me. Abigail said 'Bella, that was amazing. I never knew you could dance with point shoes.' 'You think.' I said, wiping away tears. Maya came in 'Yeah that was incredible.' Abigail had a great idea. 'Hey guys, you two can sleep over tonight.' It was the perfect way to spend the day after what happened.

We had so much fun. I said 'Okay Abby I have a question for you.' She was cautious 'Okay.' I was snickering 'Is there something going on between you and Daniel?' She was blushing 'Okay, you got me, yes I think so. We've been texting a lot. I do feel bad about beating him, but I apologised and we're cool now.' Maya said ' You destroyed him at the battle, I've never seen you dance like that.' 'Thanks I have to thank Bella, she helped me with the Jazz and acro.' She came over and squeezed me. Abigail had gotten a phone call. 'One second. Hello? Yeah. Wait, slow down, they want me to do what? I don't know, let me think about it and I'll get back to you. See ya.' I was worried 'What was that about?' 'Guys I have some bad news. My old school want me to be their representative for internationals in L.A.' Maya and I looked at each other. Abigail looked crushed.' I don't know what to do. I love it here, but I belong at home.' I said 'Wait say if you win, are you going to school back at home or here. I can't lose you again.' Maya said 'Abby listen whatever you decide we will stand by you.' I agreed. We were dancing and jamming for the rest of the night, it was amazing. We were talking about what happened today. I honestly didn't want to. It just brought back old memories of like 5 hours ago. Still. They were saying how she had no right and I did nothing to her and I won fair and square. I get it. I honestly wanted to change the subject. FAST. I said 'Hey why don't we order a pizza.' It was only 6:30 and I was hungry. 'Yeah that's a great idea!' Abigail said. We ordered dominos pizza with pepperoni, garlic pizza bread and cookies. They do good cookies. When they arrived I was starving. We put on a movie and ate like queens. I had a blast. We again were dancing and jamming which is sometimes the most fun you can have with your friends and I love it. We were still going at 2:00am and Maya then fell asleep. I was talking to Abigail about her decision. She said 'If I win the trophy can go back to my old school but I'm coming back here, so you don't nee to worry about our friendship or about me going back to my old school.' I was relieved. We decided to fall asleep. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
