Dear diary
I was so nervous yet excited for today. We were showing everyone we are in a relationship. Maybe people will notice me, I don't care if they whisper or stare I'm just happy being with him ,they won't matter one bit.
I met him at the front of the school, he seemed really happy today as he was a very merry, cheerful person. 'You look beautiful, as always' he said. I started to blush and so did I. 'Thanks you look really handsome as always'. We stared at each other for what seemed like forever. He leaned in, kissed my cheek, took my hand and said 'Shall we?' I laughed 'We shall'. It hit me. This was the moment. The moment where I show myself, be a part of the crowd not at the back listening to nickelback, jamming out. This was me and Scott's time to shine. It's unreal the feeling you get when you walk in and everyone is looking and gawking and swooning over me and him. At that moment nothing else matters in the world. We walked by Sasha and she stuck her big nose up in the air like a skunk sprayed something worse than her perfume. It's mank I can still smell it. It's like there's so much on her and sprays it every time she sees me that a factory of the perfume has been built in my nose. It weird but true.
Scott had gone to some boy ballet class and I was at my locker at the time. Some girls were walking past and waved. I never waved back to people in school. It feels kinda cool. I was heading to ballet and I accidentally bashed into a girl. I said 'OMG I'm so sorry here' as I handed her book to her. I got up 'I'm Bella' and she smiled and said 'Thanks I'm Maya.' You're really pretty'. Maya is so nice. 'Thanks Maya you two. I love your style.' Her style was amazing, it kinda reminded me of mine but a lot more accessories. 'Really I don't know' She didn't seem to like her style. 'Trust me your style is amazing.' I think her style is so unique and special. I think Maya and I are gonna be good friends. I just know it.
'I was wondering if you would like to go for coffee later, I have no one to go with.' She asked. I really want to build a friendship with her, so of course I said yes. 'I meet you at the front of the school at about 2' I said. 'Yeah do you mind if another one of my friends come along she has no plans tomorrow?' More friends the better. 'Yeah does she go here?' I like meeting new people. 'No but she's transferring here.' Maya was so excited. 'See ya then!' We both walked to class. We met at 2 and walked down the road for coffee. Maya's friend was outside waiting and I couldn't believe who it was. It was my best friend Abigail from my old school. She wasn't going to Oatfield and we were never going to see each other again. I miss her so much but I am so happy to see her again. Wait Maya said her friend was transferring. Abigail is coming to Oatfield. Best day ever. 'Abby!' That was her nickname. She turned around and we met eye to eye. 'Bella!' We ran up and squeezed each other as hard as we could. Maya caught up 'You two know each other?' 'Oh I went to school with Abigail when we were younger, she wasn't going to the same school.' I was so happy. 'I thought we were never going to see each other ever again.' Abby was nearly crying. 'Let's go inside'. I said will gesturing them to follow in.
We went in, ordered and went to the balcony setting area. It was so perfect. 'We all have some catching up to do.' Abigail said laughing. We started talking about school and dance and our talented selves. 'Did you guys hear about the international competition in L.A?' Maya's eyes were wide open. 'Calm down yeah.' I started to laugh. 'Mrs Williams hasn't found a representative for internationals, if our school wants to compete we gotta get our act together.' Maya gave a debate speech I was about to get up and clap. I couldn't tell them that Mrs Williams had already talked about it with me and wanted me to be the representative. I said 'Maya why don't you ask Mrs if you can sort of audition for the spot at internationals. You'd be really good.' She looked at me and smiled. 'Thanks but nah I'll pass. I know who'd be great at it.' Abigail and I shrugged our shoulders. We had no idea. Maya laughed and said 'You Bella, you'd be perfect!' She nearly jumped out of the seat. I stared at her, my mouth wide open. What was she thinking. Me, for internationals. As I said before I have the confidence level the size of an ant. Why? Abby agreed 'You'd be perfect for it. You always wanted to dance. This may be your only chance.' I guess it would but my nerves would get the better of me. Maya saw the time 'I gotta go I'll be late for my hip hop lesson. It's the only one today.' She waved goodbye and ran out the door. I had to go home. 'Listen I have to go I'm really sorry.' We both hugged each other and walked out.
When I got home Mam was looking a lot better. She's been working hard to get back on her feet. I'm proud of her. Really proud. I told mam all about seeing Abigail again and how I got friends and how everything fell into place. We hugged and she was tired and went to bed. I was texting Scott, Maya and Abigail at the same time. I fell asleep later on that night.
