Dear Diary,
Today it was the second competition day at internationals. Today rested on Nathan's shoulders.
I was sitting in the cafe downstairs when Nathan said 'I need your help. Right now.' I nodded. He grabbed my hand and I ran after him. We arrived at a practice room and Nathan seemed to be panicking. He said 'I saw Scott's solo. It's unreal. I need a new solo. Mine won't beat his.' I said 'Nathan, your solo is amazing, you're totally going to win.' He said 'His solo is out of this world. Mine doesn't even compare to his. I have a video.' He showed me the video and honestly I totally agreed with Nathan. He has improved so much. I said 'You're right. I'll help you.' He picked me up and hugged me and whispered 'Thank you, Bella.' We got started right away. The solo was very Nathan. It had contemporary but also loads of tricks. If Nathan just follows the storyline and performs like he never performed before he will snatch it from Scott's hands. The storyline is that there is loads of drama around him and he just wants to break free and get a bit of oxygen.
It was time for male soloist to start. Nathan was right after Scott. Scott walked on and when I heard the song, I knew he was dancing at internationals FOR ME. I was speechless. He was still trying to get me back and this was his end game. I honestly didn't know what to say. The lyrics were 'I can't let go, I can't let, I can't let, I can't let go. I follow you into the ocean. I see you from a distance but you're disappearing beneath the crashing waves.' It was so sweet but I have fallen in love with someone else. I just didn't know how he was going to take that. He finished and he got a standing ovation. He walked over to me when he finished and said 'I told you I'd get you back. Did you like it?' I said 'It was amazing, but, Scott.' I sighed 'I've fallen for someone else, you're just too late. You left our school and your heart is in Beldovere. Mine is with Oatfield and........and with.........Nathan.' He stormed past me. I felt horrible but he was too late. ( See solo above)
It was time for Nathan to perform. I was standing beside him and the rest of the team were on the other side in the wings. They waved over to him but he just stared straight ahead and didn't talk to anyone. He was ready and with all this adrenaline and him focusing he could win. He walked on and everyone on the team went crazy. He looked over to me and I smiled at him and lightly blushed. He started and he was on fire. He was giving so much passion, so much adrenaline and power, it was a privilege to watch him. He finished and also got a standing ovation. We all went crazy. Mostly me, I was so proud of him. He was panicking so much, choreographed a brand new solo and performed it so well at such a short notice. He came off stage, ran over, picked me up, and spun me around. We hugged for what seemed like forever.
We went out for dinner tonight and it was so much fun. Mrs had scheduled a booking in the best seats which was on a balcony. We could see the entire city, it was pretty magical. Mrs stood up and said 'Okay guys. We've been doing amazing so far and for that we have to thank, Bella and Nathan. Bella, yesterday, you showed us that you are not just the contemporary dancer. You showed that you are an all round dancer.Well done. And Nathan, today, you showed us that though you panicked, you pulled through and did an incredible job. Well done, well done both of you.' Everyone clapped and cheered. We both stood up and bowed. After dinner we went to this park and Mrs had a projector up. We all sat down and Mrs said 'Okay, class. So I have hidden something this whole time that you guys have been practicing. I've put together a movie about the progress you guys have made. All the times when I asked you individually questions, it was for this movie.' All of us had no idea.

M. Oatfield talent school, this year will be attending internationals. At this moment you should be watching this film. I want to say how far each individual has come. We weren't even thinking about going to internationals but everyone was so enthusiastic and excited for this. Though we've lost some members and gained some, you've pulled through and now we are here. I want to thank each and every one of you for giving the privilege to teach you. Now to the movie.
B. My name is Bella and I'm a contemporary, jazz dancer, also female soloist for Oatfield talent school. I'm really excited for internationals, I've never attended it, so this is my first time. We can totally win this.
N. Hi my name is Nathan and I'm a contemporary, hip hop, breakdancer at Oatfield Talent School. This year I'm male soloist for Oatfield talent school. Going to L.A is a total new experience. This is my dream so I really have to thank Mrs for giving me this opportunity.
A. Hey, my name is Abigail and I'm from Beldovere and I'm from the internationals exchange program. I'm a ballet, acro dancer. Coming here I was extremely nervous but I've met amazing people and grown to love this place. Though I'm part of the exchange program I have decided to fully transfer to Oatfield and continue here. It's a whole new experience but I'm really enjoying being here.
Ma. Hi everyone. I'm Maya. I'm a jazz dancer, and I've been dancing for 8 years. I'm really looking forward to internationals this year. For some people this is a total new experience but for me I've attended many competitions so I'm totally ready. I'm really excited because I've met so many people and improved so much as a dancer.
D. My name is Daniel and I'm a ballet, contemporary dancer and I've been dancing since I was 7. I've always wanted to travel to internationals so I'm really excited. The team obviously can't win internationals without me. The competition is fierce but I'm ready for it.
L. Hi everyone, my name is Luke and I'm a hip hop, breakdancer at Oatfield Talent School. I'm so excited for internationals, because I've attended competitions like this one before. They are fierce but are also a lot of fun. Travelling is so exciting and going to L.A is a dream. I'm really happy to attend, we're gonna do great.
It was so amazing. At the start everyone had a cameo and said about themselves. Then it showed some of us practicing and also the dance battle we had in class. It was so cool to look back on how far we've come as a team, and now we're at internationals and we are nearly half way through the competition. Who's to say we can't win this. Tomorrow it all depends on me, Maya and Abigail with our old school trio.
