KATH'S POV

I watched as Sky roam around the cafè chit chatting with our regular customers. It was almost her bed time and I need her to go upstairs.

Sky: Hi Mrs. Smith!

Mrs. Smith: Hello there muffin! How are you today?

Sky: I am fine! You know what my Grandpa picked me at school today! My teacher said spring break is near. My mom said we will go home to the Philippines to attend my bestie ninang's wedding.. I am so excited! Then I could get to see.......

Oh oh.. I know where it is going, so I went to her.

" Sweetie!.. It's almost bed time. And I'm sure Mrs. Smith here wants to have her time alone.. "

Mrs. Smith: That's alright Kath. It was always nice talking to you Sky. I will surely miss you when you're gone for the vacation.

Sky: I will be back soon.. Excuse me Mrs. Smith. Good night!

Mrs. Smith: Good night Sky.

As Sky turned her back and disappear on the location of the kitchen where there is a connecting stairs going to our second floor up to where we live.

" Sorry about that Mrs. Smith. She tends to be so talkative sometimes. "

Mrs. Smith: Oh no that's alright. I love that little girl. She's a treasure.

" Yeah she is.. "

Mrs. Smith: So... You are going home soon?.. How are you feeling dear?

As she hold my hand while looking at me intently.

Mrs. Smith has been a good friend to us since we arrived here. She just live a couple of blocks from us. I remember one night we had a heart to heart talk about what's going on with our life, and the last thing I know I already opened up to her.

" I am scared...  "

Mrs. Smith: Oh dear.. Come here.

She gave  me a hug as she continue to hold me.

" After all this years I still love him. What if our path crossed? He left me first and I run away from him with our baby.. "

Mrs. Smith: If that happens that you will see him again, then it means that you are destined to be reunited and it's a start of a new beggining. There were things that was left unsaid between the two of you, it's better to be heard. It is hard to bring those grudges that you are carrying dear. I'm sure he has his reasons. You have your reasons.

" What about Sky?.. "

Mrs. Smith: What about her?

" He doesn't know anything about her "

Mrs. Smith: You are a smart woman, I know whatever your decision will be, it's going to be for the better, and I know deep inside of you there is compassionate and forgiveness. Everything will be alright Kath.
