Chapter 33 " Broken "

Hi there! Sorry for the wait.. But it's already up and it's a long chapter..

DJ'S POV

I immidiately went to the hospital where Kath was admitted. I swear if something bad happened to her I wouldn't forgive myself.

When I reached the right floor I walked on a fast pace going to her room. I went inside and saw her lying on the hospital
bed with an IV attached to her. And her ex was beside her.

I rushed to her side and look for any sign of injuries. I somewhat felt relieved that her outside looks fine, But I don't know how she is and what she's feeling inside except for the proof on her eyes which shows that she just finished crying.

" Love.. How are you? What happened? You got me worried... "

Kath: Babe.. I just felt tired and cold last night then I don't know what else happened.. Good thing Dom found me.

Dominic: I saw her standing under the rain waiting for a cab, and when I was in front of her she just collapsed.

Her ex explained. At this moment I set aside the anger that I felt towards him rather, I chose to be thankful because he was there at the time that she needs me most. It fucking hurt but it's the truth and I'm still thankful.

" Thank you Dominic. "

Dominic: No problem man. Ahhh.. I'll just leave the two of you alone.

He told us and nod on Kath's direction, it's as if there's a silent communication that they've just exchanged before he entirely left the room.

I move the chair closer to her bed and sit on it. I took her hand and gave it a kiss as I just stare on her tired face.

" Love... I'm sorry. Sorry because of me this happened to you. "

Kath: Where were you babe? I've been calling  and texting you?.. You could have atleast informed me that you can't pick me up...

She said on a sad voice. There  were also tears on her eyes now ready to fall.

I can't tell her where I've been last night. I can't tell her that I gave Cara
a ride home while she waited for me under the pouring rain. Not now, especially how disappointed she was to me and because of her condition.

" Ahhmm.. There was a late urgent meeting last night and I can't leave the office. When I went to the hotel you were gone... I'm really sorry love. "

I know I am burning in hell right now for lying. I am so fucked  up!

She was just staring at me the whole time when all of a sudden silent  tears started to pour from her eyes.

I went to sit on the bed and hug her.

" Ssshhhh.. Please don't cry love.. "

Kath: I don't know but I felt that I am no longer your priority....

" Don't say that.. And don't ever think that you are not my priority. You are the most important to me ever since you came into my life and I can't imagine my life without you. Yes I have been busy lately with my work but I always see to it that I have my time with you. "
