Nick Fury's POV

"Everything is ready sir." Dr. Bruce Banner said, gesturing towards the strange red box before us.

"Good, we don't need another Loki incident on our hands." I replied, thinking about the battle in New York. Sure, it did bring together the Avengers, but was the damage really worth it?

"Now that, would be messy." Steve Rodgers said. He was standing next to me, and was wearing a T-Shirt and jeans. He could have been mistaken for a regular modern guy, if it wasn't for the large circular shield that he held close to him, and his 'old fashioned' mannerisms.

"Yeah, I'd rather I not die again." Tony Stark adds, with that hint of sarcasm in his voice which is, almost, always present.

"Well technically, you didn't die. You just had a near death experience." Bruce corrects, not taking his eyes away from the holographic keyboard he was using.

Tony looked ready for a witty retort, when a lab assistant says to me, "Sir, We're ready to start." I nod at them, and we all took a step behind the safety glass. Bruce was the only one that stayed where he was, he began counting down from 5.

"5..." Everyone put in safety goggles.

"4..." Everybody went silent.

"3..." Bruce started to power the machine up.

"2..." A sharp intake of breath.

"...1!"

The box started to give out a crimson light, and the strange symbols on the box became apparent. Most of the symbols stayed dark and shadowy, but what looked like a rose, and several other symbols, glowed white. Everyone in the room covered their eyes, despite the safety goggles, and started to back away.

Then the chaos started.

Ruby Rose's POV

I got out of bed and stretched. I check out dorm for the rest of my team, but they were already gone. Oh no! I must have slept in! I thought in a panic. After changing into my combat clothes, I headed down to the sparring ring. Team RWBY and Team JNPR had made plans to practise for the Vytal Festival, the leader of Team RWBY couldn't be late!

I was running through the courtyard to get to the other side of Beacon, when I felt a strange feeling. It was warm, and a bit tickly. I started to laugh, before I realized my whole body was engulfed in a red light. This made me yelp, and then start to call for help (Kehehehehe, that was a rhyme!).

Soon the feeling went away and I hit a hot metal floor, and passed out.

Steve Rodgers POV

There were flames first, and lots of smoke. The metal room was starting to go red hot, which was a bad sign. The scientists were yelling, and trying to take cover. I raised my shield over my head, for protection.

"EVACUATE!" A SHIELD agent yelled, causing people to lunge for the exit. The fire source stopped, and from the flames, a women emerged.

She was wearing a short red dress, and wore what looked like glass high heels. Her hair was black and came down her shoulder, making her burning amber eyes stand out. She looked quite young, and wore a grey bracelet on her ankle.

"You must all be scared... and so you should be. Just know your world is in good hands, now that I'm here." She said, her voice smooth and feminine. " I'm going to rule over this world, and anyone who tries to stop us, will be eliminated. I am Cinder Fall, and this is a warning. I merely ask you bow down to me, your new queen."
