We Could All Use a Little Rest

Ruby's POV

I sat inside of the room I had been provided. It was simple, and only had a bed, a desk, a plastic chair and a small bathroom attached to it. The longer I sat there staring at the white walls, the more it felt like a cell. Those people confiscated Crescent Rose yet again, which made me feel uneasy. Could I really trust these people? It's not like I had much of a choice but... I don't know.

Thinking wasn't good for me, it was just making me worry. I lay down on the bed, and just stared into the ceiling. What were they all doing? Was time passing by normally there? If it was, did they know that I was gone?

Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, Ren... Did they know? What if I fade from existence? What if I die and they never know what happened to me? What if I can't go back?

What if... What if... the tears began rolling down my face.

Before long I had my face buried into my pillow, sobbing into it. I don't know how long I cried for... but at some point I fell asleep.

That was probably for the best, I really could use a little rest.

Tony Stark's POV

Everything was pretty hectic. No, that was an understatement, things were very hectic. We couldn't seem to find those people, and that girl wasn't much help. Sure she recognized them, but she didn't give a very detailed report.

I must say though, she really can use that scythe of hers. This kid was a strange one, we would contact Thor if we could, he might know what the deal is. The only issue with that guy is that he'll just show up whenever it's convenient for him. Right know he's in Asgard, so we'll just have to wait.

'Hey, Tony, you got a second?' Steve asked.

'Yeah, what is it?' I asked, folding my arms.

'What's your thoughts on the kid?'

'She's a strange case, but we've had stranger.'

'You're telling me, but do you think she's with the others that came from the box?'

'She's definitely suspicious, we can't trust her yet.'

'I think we can, she looks like a little lost puppy.' Clint offered, after he had sauntered up to us.

'You think we should trust her because she reminds you of a stay dog?' Steve asked skeptically.

'She's just a kid, and she needs help.' Clint said, his father like demeanour coming through.

'That, plus she just cried herself to sleep.' Natasha said, while striding up to us.

'Great, now this is a party.' I said, rolling my eyes.

'It's getting late, you boys should go to sleep.' She said ignoring me. 'We all know that Tony gets cranky when he doesn't get enough sleep.'

I ignored her and walked away. I say that we can't trust the kid, and they're going to see my point the second she stabs up in the back.

But right now, I needed to rest.

Weiss's POV

'Yang!' Blake called out.

'We've been looking for hours, I think we should give it a rest.' I said, putting my hand on Blake's shoulder.

'This... is bad. First Ruby disappears, then Yang is nowhere to be found?' Blake said, I could tell that she was fighting of the tears.

'She's probably just looking for Ruby, she'll show up soon, I'm sure of it.

Blake nodded and began to head back home.

We could both use a little rest.
